LUNA U12 Singles and Doubles

Instead of entering a traditional singles-only tournament, players have the opportunity to compete in both singles and doubles, with results from each contributing applicable ranking points.

Why This Format?

Round Robin Singles + Round Robin Doubles

That means more competitive match play, more opportunities to earn ranking points, and less chance of a tournament weekend being defined by one early result.

Players can:

• Compete in multiple singles matches

• Compete in multiple doubles matches

• Earn applicable ranking points from both singles and doubles

• Potentially earn more ranking points across the weekend than through a traditional singles-only event

• Gain valuable singles and doubles match experience

• Boys' 12

• Girls' 12

Maximum Acceptance

• 16 players per division

• Total field: 32 players

Selection will follow current USTA Florida Level 6 selection procedures.

Tournament Format

Players are guaranteed a minimum of two matches.

Match Format

Doubles

• One set to 6 games

• No-Ad scoring

• 7-point tiebreak at 6-6

Singles

• Best of three short sets

• Sets to 4 games

• No-Ad scoring

• Games to 5 at 3-3

• 7-point tiebreak at 4-4

• Third set: 10-point Match Tiebreak

The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify scoring due to weather or scheduling.

Surface & Equipment

• Surface: Har-Tru Clay

• Official Ball: Penn Regular Duty
