PLANNING YOUR STAY:

Friday Night Doubles: 4:00-10:00 pm (We are trying to get two rounds of doubles done that night for each division) No singles matches on Friday.

Saturday and Sunday matches should be mostly at one site for each age group. Monday, players may condense down to facilities in Salt Lake City.

SINGLES DRAWS:

* ALL SINGLES DRAWS WILL BE FEED-IN CONSOLATION THROUGH QUARTERFINALS. THERE WILL BE A PLAYOFF FOR 3RD/4TH.

MATCHES WILL BE BEST OF THREE SETS, REGULAR SCORING, WITH A 10 POINT MATCH TIEBREAKER PLAYED IN LIEU OF THE THIRD SET FOR ALL MAIN DRAW AND CONSOLATION SINGLES MATCHES.

DOUBLES MATCH FORMAT: SINGLE ELIMINATION, 8 GAME PRO SET FORMAT, REGULAR SCORING, 7 POINT TIE BREAKER AT 8 GAMES ALL.

FOR DOUBLES YOU MUST REGISTER IN THE SAME AGE GROUP AS THE SINGLES DIVISION YOU ARE COMPETING IN. If you have problems registering online, please contact customercare@usta.com Doubles fee is included in Singles Entry fee if playing both. If ONLY playing doubles, the fee is $25

PRACTICE COURTS: We are not reserving extra practice courts for players. Due to the weather and court shortage in the winter, it will be difficult to find warm up courts. I will refer you to possible courts you can try to reserve yourself once my sites are solidified.

Acceptance:

This is a Level 4 Intermountain Closed Tournament limited to 32 players. If any one division has more than 32 players applying, acceptance will be based on the most recent National Standing List for that particular division's draw. The top 32 players applying will be accepted. The remainder will be placed on the alternate list according to their National Standing. We will flight B/G 14, 16, 18 based on WTN. Seeding will be done by WTN for those age groups as well.

B/G 12 we seed using National Standings list and flight using National Standings list.

I am planning on accepting 32 players per division. If I can get enough courts, I will accept an additional 16 players per division in order of the largest applicant group to the smallest applicant group. The players in the "Bronze" or third draw tend to have the most local players. So we will put them at the furthest sites from SLC.

Flighting:

Singles: If any division has more than 28 players, we will split the draw into flights. The top draw will have a full 16 players. If there are enough players for a 3rd draw, the bottom two draws will be split in half. Verified WTNs will have priority for the upper draw and seeding. Unverified WTN's are likely to play in the lower draws.

Girls and Boys 12 used NSL for flighting and seeding due to high degree of variability for the players who are moving up from Green Ball.

Doubles: Acceptance for doubles is based on combined national standing. Due to limited courts, I will do acceptance on....date. Then I will pair partners first come first serve until I run out of courts or reach 16 teams. We will not flight the doubles. Players can sign up with any player from their age division. Seeding uses Combined National Standings list.

Players may enter 1 singles and 1 doubles division and must play both divisions in the same age group due to scheduling limitations.

REFUNDS: We issue refunds up to 7 days before the tournament begins. Entry fees are subject to 3.5%+.50c transaction fees and applicable section or district head tax fees. Taxes and fees are non-refundable.

DOUBLES PARTNERS: - It is your responsibility to find a doubles partner by the time selctions are made. Players with partners will be accepted by Combined National Standings into the main draw at the deadline. After acceptance takes place, adding teams is first come first serve, until I run out of court space or the draw fills.
