TOURNAMENT CHECK IN & PLAYER PARTY :
Tournament check in and a FREE player party will be held at the Lorenzi Racket Club on Friday, Sept 11 from 5-7 p.m. We’ll have pizza, music, ping pong, and bottled water. Tournament check-in attendance is NOT mandatory. If you can't make tournament check-in, you can still pick up your hoody after your first match at your site. Most of Lorenzi's courts will be in use from 4:30-6:30 p.m. for regular programming. Courts will be available for warm-up at Lorenzi on Friday at 6:30PM on a first come, first served basis for $10/hr.
1. DRAW, SCORING FORMATS, DRAW PUBLICATION, EARLIEST MATCH START TIMES
Singles format - 32 player FIC-16 with Quarterfinal and 3/4 playoffs. All singles matches will be two tiebreak sets, regular scoring, with a 10-point match TB played in lieu of the 3rd.
Doubles format - 16 team SE with 3/4 playoff. All doubles matches will be 8 game pro-sets, NO AD scoring, with a 7 point TB played at 8 games all.
Draw publication - All draws will be published by 9A on Friday, Sept 11.

Site abbreviation on the draw is "LAKE." Amenities include bathrooms, water fountains and a shade seating platform to the side of the courts. There's also a lounge, snack bar and stringing services available at the Sports Club. The google maps hyperlink will take you to the Sports Club. This is a new facility and the satellite image hasn't been updated yet. The tennis courts are at the intersection of Calcione Drive & Via Vin Santo, about 200 yards from the Sports Club.

All matches will be played with the Wilson US Open ball. Regular Duty balls will be used for the Girls divisions, Extra Duty balls will be used for the Boys divisions.

7. SCHEDULE OF PLAY
Day 1: 2 main draw singles, 1 cons singles, 1 or 2 doubles.
Day 2: 2 main draw singles, 2 cons singles, 1 Q-cons playoff, 1 or 2 doubles
Day 3: Finals and 3/4 playoff, 2 cons singles, Q-cons Final, Doubles Final unless played on Day 2.
8. PRACTICE COURTS
The Darling Tennis Center will be open at 7 a.m. each tournament day. Practice courts will be available on a first come, first served basis. The courts are open to players only and must have four players to a court when court availability is limited. Courts are available to reserve on Friday at $25 per hour. 11. ON-SITE ALTERNATES
On-site alternates should check in at their site by 7:45A on Saturday to be eligible to compete in both singles and doubles in the event of a withdrawal.
12. WITHDRAWAL POLICY

13. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
DRESS CODE : All players are required to wear appropriate tennis attire. Cut off shorts, bare midriffs (meaning your shirt doesn't cover your midriff when you play, including serving), and compression shorts alone, are not allowed. Shirts and caps should not reference drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or sex.
DOUBLES : If you are selected for the main draw of singles and are registered for doubles and your partner also gets selected for the main draw, please email me at juniors@ustanevada.com and let me know who your doubles partner is . When National processes the singles selections for this event, all doubles teams are unpaired. This unpairing is necessary in order to separate those players selected for main draw singles from those who are not.
If you are selected for singles and you want to play doubles but you didn't register for doubles prior to the deadline, please email me either the name of the player you have lined up for doubles, or the names of three players you would like to partner with, in order of preference.
DOUBLES NOTIFICATION DEADLINE : THE DEADLINE TO FINALIZE ALL DOUBLES PAIRINGS IS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2. If you are registered for doubles but don't have a partner lined up by then, I will do my best to pair you with someone who is close to your rating and send you both a confirmation text. While September 2 is the official deadline for finalizing doubles pairings, I may still be able to add or pair players after that date if openings and suitable partners are available. Players who want to play doubles but have not yet found a partner are encouraged to contact me as soon as possible. IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED FOR DOUBLES AND YOU DON'T CONTACT ME BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 ABOUT PLAYING DOUBLES, I WILL ASSUME THAT YOU ONLY WANT TO PLAY SINGLES AND WILL NOT PUT YOU IN THE DOUBLES DRAW.
ELECTRONIC WEARABLES : The use of smartwatches or any electronic device that can receive electronic communication must be in off mode and in a bag unless on a break between the 2nd set and the 10 point match TB.
MEDICAL RELEASE FORM : All players must submit a completed waiver before they will be allowed to play. No exceptions. Please click on the following link to fill out and submit the waiver: USTA Waiver & Release Form . When completed, the parent/player will receive a confirmation email that the form was submitted. Please foward a copy of that confirmation email to juniors@ustanevada.com. ALL waivers must be received prior to the start of the tournament.
OVERRULE POLICY : Once a player has been overruled a second time, they will be cautioned that after another overrule, they might be penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct under the Point Penalty System: point, game, default.
