Flighting and Seeding will be by Ranking
If divisions are split into multiple groups (e.g. 32 players into two groups of 16 each), the groups will be flighted based on each players’ current position on the Combined National Standing List (ranking). FLIGHTING is a method of distributing players entered into an event into separate draws so that players of the same level are in the same draw and compete against each other. Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 7?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Mon, Nov 9, 5:59pm EST). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
