Saturday we will play Round 1 Mixed Doubles & Singles, Round 2 Singles
Sunday we will play Round 2 Doubles, Round 3 Singles & Mixed Doubles
PLAY should be completed on Sunday by approximately 3:00pm
The tournament will be played indoors on hard courts at the Virginia Beach Tennis & Country Club, 1950 Thomas Bishop Lane, Virginia Beach, VA, 23454.
Tournament play is on Saturday and Sunday ONLY. If you would like to reserve a practice court at the club for Friday, you can do so by calling the pro shop at (757) 481-7545, ext. 0.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
This is a National L2 Team event.
4 boys and 4 girls will be selected FROM EACH SECTION by the National Standing list
published on November 13, 2024. for a total of 16 boys and 16 girls. The players will
then be waterfalled onto four teams using the most recent ITF World Tennis Number.
Players will be waterfalled and finalized on Tuesday, December 3rd. The WTN as of November 27th will be used to determine the waterfall. No changes will be made to the waterfall after this date.
What is a waterfall?
When players enter team tournaments as individuals, the tournament director will waterfall
players into teams. The purpose of waterfalling players is to have teams composed of evenly
distributed levels.
Teams could consist of players from all 4 sections. If sections are unable to fulfill their 4
boys and 4 girls requirement then the selection will revert back to the national standing
list.
If there is a withdrawal after entries close but before the teams are created?
Withdrawn players will be replaced by the sectional association whom the withdrawn
player was playing for. Teams will be waterfalled up until December 3rd.
Replacement of Withdrawing Players After the waterfall is done
The waterfall will not be re-done if a player withdraws after December 3rd. The tournament shall replace a player who withdraws, is defaulted, or is otherwise removed from the draw after the waterfall is done, but before the player’s first match with the next highest remaining alternate for the division,based on the national standing list. If the withdrawal is by the player waterfalled into the #1 position on a team, the lower-waterfalled player on the team shall be moved into the #1 position and the alternate shall take the #2 position.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 2?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
