Practice Courts
• A minimum of 2 practice outdoor clay courts will be available on Friday, October 11th from 10 AM - 8 PM. Courts 3 & 4.

• Indoor courts can be booked if available 24 hours in advance at the club rate $ after 12:00 PM on Friday.
• Please be aware that more than one player may need to use a court at the same time so please be willing to share.
• If anyone is interested in one of our Club Pros to hit with, you can reserve time with them for either a half hour or hour at the Midlothian Tennis Club Rate. Racket Stringing
• Racket stringing is available at the Midlothian Tennis Club Rate. Please make sure to hand in any rackets that need to get strung in a timely fashion.
• Players' parents must complete the waiver by October 11th and be prepared to show the confirmation email at tournament check in.
• Select: USTA National Level 2 (October)
• Enter the player's age division, name, USTA # and Address.
• Parents of players under 18 should initial where indicated and sign using your mouse.
• IMPORTANT!! Include the email address where you want the confirmation sent. Make sure to have that email confirmation with you at the tournament.
On-Site Alternates:
• On Saturday, October , 12th 2024, alternates may be accepted into the draw. Any alternate desiring admittance must
check in and be ready for play no later than 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled match time of the event.
• The order of the alternates is based on the original Alternate List published by the tournament, not a more
recent National Standings List, and not in the order in which the players check in.
On-Site Alternates may be admitted into the singles main draw to replace withdrawing players until the
completion of the first round of play. On-Site Alternates may not play in the Feed-In Championship or
Compass Draw unless they have first played in the singles main draw.
Safeplay Approval: If you are coming to the tournament with a coach, please be aware that all coaches must be Safe Play Certified if they are to go on any practice courts with you. We will have a check-in at the tournament desk to show if coaches are certified (this does not apply to parents).

Will my junior get in?
Boys' Doubles 14 & under, Boys' Singles 14 & under are full; the rest have room. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 2?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Thu, Sep 17, 12:00pm EDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.

Player's Responsibility
• It is the player's responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner.
• All players should report to tournament desk 15 minutes prior to EACH match READY to PLAY throughout the tournament. Note: Go to the restroom, fill water bottles, etc BEFORE you check in. CHECKING IN means READY to PLAY.
• All USTA rules will be enforced for lateness.

Player Entry and Selection Procedure: This Tournament is part of a Level 2 Tournament Block . Please click here to view the complete policy for multiple entries in a USTA Level 2 Open tournament.
If you want to play in a USTA National Level 2 Tournament but are unsure if you will get in, you may enter up to two different age divisions of up to four sites of USTA National Level 2 tournaments. When selection is done, players are selected for the oldest age division first, based on the most recently published National Standing List of the division of the tournament.
If you are selected into the older age division entered, you will not be considered for the younger age division. If you are not selected into the older age division, you will only be considered for selection into the younger division, and if you are not selected into the younger division, you will only be eligible to be an alternate in the younger division.
Additionally, the computerized selection system attempts to fill the draws based on the first choice of sites of all players. If spots are still open, it looks at the second choice of sites for the remaining players, then the third, and, finally, the fourth. Once a player is selected at one location, they are removed from consideration for other locations they may have registered for. It is VERY IMPORTANT to only prioritize sites you are willing to play. Players will not be selected into two locations.
Those players who have not been selected after all four USTA National Level 2 Tournament draws have been filled shall be placed on the alternate lists at all tournaments for which the players have indicated a preference. The players are ordered on the alternate lists based on the player’s standing on the National Selection List used to select players.
Sportsmanship and the USTA Champion’s Pledge : All participants shall familiarize themselves with The Code which is meant to be a guide to fair play. By participating in the tournament, all players agree to abide by the USTA Champion’s Pledge: “I promise to: Compete with the true spirit of Sportsmanship; Have fun; Always give the benefit of the doubt to my opponent; Manage my emotions and be respectful to my opponent, tournament officials, and parents; Play to win with grace and lose with dignity; Invest time in knowing the rules; Obey the rules and respect the officials’ decisions; Never quit!”
Spectator Oath: All tournament guests, including family members, coaches, and other spectators, must adhere to the USTA Spectator Oath: “I pledge to set a positive example for players, treat fellow parents, coaches, and officials with respect, emphasize the importance of fair play and good sportsmanship, cheer respectfully for winner and good points - not errors and double faults, allow players to work out on-court disputes, and not interfere with matches.”
