Concurrent Tournament Violation
If you are entered in this tournament and also in another tournament scheduled for the same weekend you have violated the concurrent tournament rule. IF YOU ARE ON TWO OR MORE APPLICANT LISTS WHEN ENTRIES CLOSE, YOU WILL BE PENALIZED BY THE MIDDLE STATES OFFICE. If you are on our alternate list and you decide to play in another tournament you must withdraw from our tournament immediately.

Online registration is required and needs to be COMPLETED before the entry deadline. In the case of a technical problem, contact the USTA MS Junior Competition Department at jrcomp@ms.usta.com BEFORE THE ENTRY DEADLINE. The time stamp on the email needs to be BEFORE the entry deadline.
SINGLES ONLY - 32 PLAYERS WILL BE SELECTED AND FLIGHTED INTO TWO 16-PLAYER MODIFIED FEED IN DRAWS (CONSOLATION DRAW WILL BE PLAYED TO COMPLETION). A WITHDRAWAL OR WALKOVER MAY BE CONSIDERED A SCHEDULED MATCH.
PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO PLAY ALL THEIR CONSOLATION MATCHES.
SELECTIONS AND SEEDINGS WILL BE DONE USING THE COMBINED NATIONAL STANDINGS LIST PUBLISHED ON THE CLOSING DATE
3RD/4TH PLAYOFF WILL BE PLAYED
TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
IF 13 OR LESS PLAYERS REGISTER BY THE ENTRY DEADLINE, THE DRAWS WILL NOT BE FLIGHTED, AND WE WILL HOLD ONE 16-PLAYER DRAW AND THE POINTS WILL REVERT TO THE LEVEL 4 POINTS TABLE FOR A MODIFIED FEED-IN DRAW.
PLAYERS WILL BE FLIGHTED 1-16 INTO THE FIRST FLIGHT. PLAYERS 17-32 WILL BE PLACED INTO THE SECOND FLIGHT BASED ON THE NATIONAL STANDINGS LIST ON THE DATE ENTRIES CLOSED.
IF IT IS NOT A FULL TOURNAMENT, WE WILL SPLIT THE DRAWS EVENLY. FOR EXAMPLE, IF ONLY 17 PLAYERS REGISTER, FLIGHT 1 WILL HAVE 9 PLAYERS AND FLIGHT 2 WILL HAVE 8 PLAYERS.
WITHDRAWALS AFTER DRAWS HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED:
IF A PLAYER WITHDRAWS AFTER THE DRAWS HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED, THE OPEN SPOT WILL BE REPLACED BY THE NEXT ALTERNATE WHERE THE WITHDRAWING PLAYER WAS, REGARDLESS OF THE FLIGHT.

MAIN DRAW: 2 OUT OF 3 SETS WITH A 10-POINT MATCH TIEBREAK IN LIEU OF 3RD SET
CONSOLATION DRAW: 2 OUT OF 3 SHORT SETS TO 4, NO AD SCORING, 7-POINT SET TIEBREAK AT 4 GAMES ALL AND A 10-POINT MATCH TIEBREAK IN LIEU OF 3RD SET

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 4?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
