This event is tailored to High School Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors

USTA Middle States' College Showcase is scheduled to be held Saturday, November 7 at the Gustine Recreation Center and the Legacy YTE Tennis Facility. The annual event is a great opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to both meet with and demonstrate their skills in front of college coaches in attendance. The day also includes presentations and expert panel discussions that will address many of the questions college-bound students and their parents have about college tennis and the NCAA recruitment process.

Event Location & Directions:

Parking: Legacy YTE Parking Lot, Gustine Center Parking Lot, and street parking

Where to go when you arrive: Registration will be at the Gustine Center

Attire: Tennis clothes - everyone will be playing on indoor hard courts

What to bring: Water bottle, tennis equipment, packed lunch/snacks

This event will consist of matchplay but will not count for rankings or ratings. This is an opportunity for players to showcase their tennis skills in a stress-free competitive format, featuring doubles (and possibly singles, if time permits) in additon to listening to experts present on the recruiting process. You'll have the opportunity to meet close to 50 different college coaches face to face and learn more about their tennis programs.....all in one day!

Event Agenda

• 10:00 – 11:00am: Registration - Gustine Recreation Center (located next door to Legacy YTE)

• 11:00 – 12:30pm: Visit individual coaches at their respective tables

• 12:30 – 1:30pm: Presentation by Guest Speaker and Coaches panel

• 1:30 - 3:30pm: College Showcase on Legacy YTE Courts - This portion will be broken into two groups and rotated on/off the courts

The ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) will be used to assist with court groupings for matchplay.

Will my junior get in?

No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.

What is a Unsanctioned?

USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.

When do we know?
