Will my junior get in?

The ID is on your junior's USTA account. We look up their published standing, read it against this tournament's entry count and its selection rule, and tell you where that leaves them. We never ask for a name and USTA never sends us one.

This tournament is held at College Park West, 10 Marriott Drive in Lincolnshire. Follow signs to the lobby and stay left till the end of the property. Tennis Club is in a separate building.

THIS EVENT USES A SELECTION PROCESS (Top Down) THAT IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER JR CIRCUIT EVENTS. We will be selecting the top 8 boys and top 8 girls to compete. (We may possibly take more than 8 players per division)

This is not a bottom-up or first-come, first-served selection. In fact, many of you may not qualify for other types of selections because you are “too good" and if that is the case, you will make it into this event with the top players in the area competing. For this event, the stronger your level of play, the better your chances of being selected. This prepares you for competition in your next level, USTA BG12 Level 7.

You must check in for this event at 2:45pm for a player/parent meeting. Matches start promptly at 3-7pm. This is a one day event. DO NOT BE LATE FOR THE MEETING or you will miss all the instructions for this event.

Selection for this event will be to select the "TOP" BG10's using the TOP 8 players in each division- with a Manual Selection with top up by WTN (players with the best World Tennis Numbers, meaning the lower numbers that are verified with a dark blue checkmark). This is how the best players will be selected to compete against each other for some amazing matches. 8 boys and 8 girls, playing separately and not Co-ed(unless the tournament is not full or the numbers are uneven then we will be forced to play Co-ed). Round Robin, with 3 matches each in your group, followed by a Group Position Playoff- #1, #2, #3, #4 for your Fourth Match assuming we have full draws.

Questions parents ask

Will my junior get in?

No draw is full yet. Selection runs off the ranking list when entries close, and it runs differently at different levels, so whether a junior gets in depends on where they sit in this field. Add their USTA ID and we will tell you.

What is a Junior Circuit?

USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.

When do we know?

Selections post after entries close (Thu, Nov 5, 4:59pm CST). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
