1 - 78 Players based on the most recent National Standings List (NSL)

2 - 24 Players based on WTN

3 - 26 Players based on District Quota/Wildcard procedure (wildcard procedure coming soon)

*Alternates will be ordered by NSL

Players will be seeded for the tournament in the following order:

1 - All seeds done by WTN

DOUBLES SELECTION & SEEDING:

ALL players interested in playing doubles must register for doubles by the ENTRY DEADLINE. You do not need to register with a doubles partner, but you must register for doubles.

Teams will be selected for the tournament using the below process:

1.) Teams that are formed prior to the entry deadline and consist of two selected singles players will be selected for doubles during initial selections. All other teams will be UNPAIRED at this time (see below for additional instructions).

2.) All remaining players that are still interested in playing doubles will need to email the Tournament Director (contact information is found at the bottom of this page). If a player is requesting a specific partner, BOTH players must be copied on the request to the Tournament Director.

3.) Formed doubles teams will be selected based on the following priority (each priority will be sorted by Combined NSL):

1 - two selected singles players

2 - one selected singles player and one singles alternate or doubles only player

3 - both alternate singles players or doubles only players

Teams will be seeded for the tournament in the following order:

1 - All seeds done by Combined National Standings List (NSL)

POINTS PER ROUND

This tournament carries with it USTA Level 3 points per round. For more information on ranking points, please click the following link: more info

MATCH SCORING/DRAW SIZE

Singles 128 FIC-16. All singles matches are best of three tie-break sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd set.

Doubles 64 SE. All doubles matches will be an 8-game pro set with a 7-point tiebreaker played at 8 all. Doubles is No Ad Scoring.

ORDER OF PLAY (*NEW*): Weather permitting, the Midwest Closed will be 4 days (5th day held for rain or heat)

SATURDAY - 2 main draw singles, 1 singles consolation, 1-2 rounds of doubles

SUNDAY - 1 singles main, 2 singles consolation, 2 rounds of doubles

MONDAY - 2 singles main, 3 singles consolation, quarters or semis of doubles

TUESDAY - 2 singles main, 2 singles consolation, semis or finals of doubles

*WEDNESDAY* - OPEN in case the schedule requires it due to heat or rain

DOUBLES INFORMATION

Any player intending to play doubles must be registered by the tournament deadline. You must play doubles in the age group that you play singles. If you know your doubles partner when registering, you can select a partner when you register for the tournament by following THESE STEPS for inviting/accepting a partner. If you are looking for a partner, please list your name and contact information on THIS DOCUMENT . Then, reach out to any other players who are listed in your division. Please email the Tournament Director with any issues.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

TOURNAMENT FEES

1) If your credit card has been declined, the tournament director will be reaching out to you, and they will have the option to withdraw you from the competitors' list if you do not respond and communicate with them. 2) No refunds after player selection.

WRITTEN NOTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR WITHDRAWS

After play starts, any player coded as "Withdrawal" or "Walkover" on the draw sheet must submit written verification ( this form ) regarding the reason for withdrawal. The player should provide a detailed description of the reason for withdrawal, and if the reason is not for INJURY, ILLNESS, PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCE (Referee shall determine validity and may reach out for additional details), or previously authorized entry into another tournament, the player is subject to the Suspension Point System ( Friend at Court pp. 114-119 ). Written verifications should be sent via this form to the Tournament Director and/or Referee no later than the last day of the tournament to be considered valid.
