Players will be seeded for the tournament in the following order:

1 - All seeds done by WTN

DOUBLES SELECTION & SEEDING:

All players are required to REGISTER for doubles prior to the entry deadline. It is not a requirement to identify a partner, but you must register for the event.

Teams will be selected for the tournament using the below process:

1.) Teams that are formed prior to the entry deadline and consist of two selected singles players will be selected for doubles during initial selections. All other teams will be UNPAIRED at this time (see below for additional instructions).

2.) All remaining players that are still interested in playing doubles will need to email the Tournament Director (contact information is found at the bottom of this page). If a player is requesting a specific partner, BOTH players must be copied on the request to the Tournament Director.

3.) Remaining doubles teams will be selected based on the following priority (each priority will be ordered by Combined NSL):

1 - two selected singles players

2 - one selected singles player and one alternate or doubles only player

3 - both alternate singles players or doubles only players

POINTS PER ROUND

This tournament carries with it USTA Level 4 points per round. For more information on ranking points, please click the following link: more info

MATCH SCORING/DRAW SIZE

Feed-in consolation draw (through the Round of 16) for singles and single elimination for doubles. Quarterfinal losers will be fed into a separate consolation draw to playoff for 5th and 6th place. Semifinal losers will playoff for 3rd and 4th place. All singles matches are best of three tie-break sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd set. Doubles will be an 8-game pro set with a 7-point tiebreaker played at 8 all. Doubles is No Ad Scoring.

ORDER OF PLAY

DAY 1 – 2 rounds of doubles, 1 round of main draw, and 1 round of consolation singles. DAY 2 – 1 round of doubles, 2 rounds of main draw, and 2 rounds of consolation singles. DAY 3 – 2 rounds of doubles, 2 rounds of main draw, and 2 rounds of consolation singles. DAY 4 – 1 round of main draw, 1 round of consolation, 1 round of doubles. The order of play is subject to change.

TOURNAMENT FEES

1) If your credit card has been declined, the tournament director will be reaching out to you, and they will have the option to withdraw you from the competitors' list if you do not respond and communicate with them. 2) No refunds after player selection.

WRITTEN NOTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR WITHDRAWS

After draws are published, any player coded as "Withdrawal" or "Walkover" on the draw sheet must submit written verification (email) regarding the reason for withdrawal. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall deliver written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional. If the player is not playing because of a personal circumstance, the player shall deliver a written description of the situation. If the reason is not for INJURY, ILLNESS, PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCE, or previously authorized entry into another tournament, the player is subject to the Suspension Point System ( Friend at Court pp. 115-120 ). Written verifications should be emailed to jrtourney@midwest.usta.com no later than the last day of the tournament to be considered valid. This is in accordance with USTA Regulation IV.C.16.

PRACTICE COURTS

Practice Courts will be available to resereve after the draw has been posted. Reservations are limited to 30 minutes on the days of the tournament at $17.5/30 minutes. Unlimited time on the day before the tournament at $35/hour. Please call (859) 341-3687 to reserve the court--all practice courts must be prepaid at time of reservation.

STRINGING

Onsite stringer is available. Cost is the cost of string plus the stringing fee of $25 per racquet. We carry Yonex strongs only, but can string other brands as well if you bring your own.
