SEEDING: WTN, based on highest confidence.
Here is a quick overview of WTN compared the the NSL: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12UEW6c_1CAUxLkSKVWM1Ti_vx4Lj4lH1/view
If we have 8 alternates in one division, we may take those extra players (according to Tournament Director discretion). Taking extra players will make some of our match times potentially be as late as 9:00pm. In addition there is a new rule in the Ohio Valley District. When Tourn Dirs take extra players, we have to rank every player in that division by WTN, and put players in draws according to those WTNs. In our case, this means the 8 players with the top WTNs go in one draw and the other 8 go in another draw.
TOURNAMENT START TIME: Specific match times will be determined by the number of entries in each draw.*
Our tournaments have switched to Fall hours now.
This tournament is Friday as early as 6pm and Saturday as early as 6pm. The tournament can go as late as 9pm start times for our last matches on both Friday and Saturday if we have an entirely full tournament.
All players will most likely have two matches on either Friday or Saturday. Occasionally a player may have two matches on Fri and Saturday if we do a round robin (i.e. 5 player draws).
Players are responsible for checking their own match times online under “draws” tab above (when shown).
ARRIVAL TIME: Check in at the tournament desk. Players are expected to be prepared to go on-court a minimum of 15 minutes PRIOR to the start of any of their match time. Players MUST arrive by official match time to avoid penalties as per USTA rules (see Friend at Court, Table 16 Penalties for Lateness).
DRAW FORMAT: : Compass or round robin**
**based on number of entries. Full draws are normally compass format.
Draws are usually posted by late Wed evening.
We can try to work with players who truly need to arrive a little later *and* who give us enough time to make the adjustment. Please email the Tournament Director several days PRIOR to tournament registration close if you truly have constraints for arrival time. Please do not abuse this privilege!

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 6?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Mon, Oct 19, 5:59pm EDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
