LEVEL 6 TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
PLAYER SELECTION & SEEDING
This tournament will use the most recent USTA National Standing Lists for player selection and seeding. The highest ranked entrants will be selected for the draw.
POINTS PER ROUND
For a compass draw, each level six match won receives 20 points in the main draw and 10 points in the back draw. Champions will receive an additional 15 points and finalists will receive an additional 10. more info.

DRAW FORMAT
The tournament will mostly utilize a Compass Draw or a round Robin. Matches are best 2 of 3 short sets to 4 with a 7-point tiebreak at 4 games all and a 7-point tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. My goal is to give each player at least three matches; preferably, I would like them to have four matches, so that they can maximize their Usta point total. In some instances, players will play best two of three full sets with a 10 point tiebreak in the third set.
*Note that a rain delay could cause some matches to be canceled (see "Rain Delays" below)
MATCH SCHEDULE
Draws will be posted by Thursday evening. Players are responsible for checking their match times listed under the draws tab. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled match time.
Match Times : Matchplay could start as early as 8 AM, or as late as 2 PM. In most cases, if you start at 8 AM, you would be done no later than 2 PM. And if you start at 2 PM, you would be done no later than 8 PM. ## If you have a preferred start time, please let me know before the tournament close date, and I will do my best to accommodate you.

Will my junior get in?
Boys' Singles 12 & under, Girls' Singles 12 & under are full; the rest have room. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 6?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Thu, Sep 10, 4:59pm CDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.

TOURNAMENT SITE INFORMATION
• No dogs or other pets are allowed at the tournament site or on any part of Downers Grove South or North High School's Campus.
• There will be Portable Toilets on site for your use.
• There may be a few small bleachers present at the tournament site; however we highly encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs and any necessary shading in the event that they are moved prior to the tournament.
GENERAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
• There will be a Tournament Director /Referee should you have any questions or concerns.
• The USTA Point-Penalty system will be in effect and players will be penalized for lateness. Because of this we encourage you to arrive at the tournament site 15 minutes before your match to allow time for any unexpected traffic or delays. If an unexpected delay comes up and you suspect you will not be able to arrive by your match time, please email/text the Tournament Director immediately at huby28@hotmail.com or (630) 479-9263. We will either work out a solution or give your next match time if a default for lateness is necessary.
• Failure to show up for a match will result in a default, no show and 5 suspension points added to the player's record. In the rare instance where a player is completely unable to play a match due to extraordinary and unforeseen circumstances, it is the player's responsiblity to communicate this to the Tournament Director. Unless a player has done so, and received confirmation from the Tournament Director on their updated match status, the match is still on and the player will be expected to show up at their scheduled time ready to play. Please see this USTA Customer Care article for more information on suspension points.
• Awards will be provided for the main draw winner and finalist of each event.
• As this is an outdoor tournament, we encourage players and spectators to please remember to bring sunscreen, caps/visors, and any other necessary protection from the sun, along with plenty of water and ice.
RAIN DELAYS & REFUND POLICY
We do not have an indoor site available in the case of rain.
Rain Delays
• In the event that weather becomes an issue, we will delay all matches until the rain stops and we have time to dry the courts.
• Depending on the amount of rain, there may be rain delays.
• No refunds will be given unless a player does not have the opportunity to complete their second match due to withdrawals or completions. See our credit and refund policy below.
Credit Policy
If a player was unable to play at least two matches, then you are welcome to a credit for a future Hugh's tennis tournament. Simply let me know that you would like this, and I will make a record of it.
***the advantage of a credit, is that you won't lose the $15 that the Usta will take if you get a refund.
Refund Policy
• We will cancel the tournament when the rain has no signs of ceasing
• If the tournament is cancelled before a player has completed their second match, the player may receive a refund of the entry fee, With the exception of $15.
• No refunds are issued for players who have completed at least two matches.
• We truly wish we could refund the full amount when the tournament is cancelled before any matchplay, but approximately $15 of each payment is sent directly to the USTA and not Hugh's Tennis so we cannot refund that portion on our end.

TOURNAMENT FEES
• You will not be charged for the event until you are selected into the draw.
• If your credit card has been declined, you will receive an automated email from the system. You will then have to contact the Tournament Director to determine a way to provide payment. The Tournament Director has the option to withdraw you from the competitors' list if you have not communicated with them to find a solution.
• No refunds after player selection except in the event of a weather cancellation in which case a refund $15 less than the registration fee will be given. See "Weather Cancellation Refund Policy" above for more information.

Following the tournament, CDTA will send out a survey to obtain your feedback on the event.
PLAYER CONTACT INFORMATION POLICY
Please provide an up-to-date email address and cell numbers when registering for the tournament, or we will be unable to notity you about any possible changes in the tournament including, a change in match status, match time, or rain delays/cancellation.

Player's Code of Conduct :
• Remember to switch sides after every odd game.
• Courtesy is expected. Tennis is a game that requires cooperation and courtesy.
• Player makes calls on their own side of the net. A player calls all shots landing on, or aimed at, the player's side of the net.
• Opponent gets the benefit of the doubt. A player should always give the opponent the benefit of any doubt.
• Call scores and lines calls loudly!
• Spectators never make calls. A player shall not enlist the aid of a spectator in making a call. No spectator has a part in a match.
