LOCATION and WARMUP
Dwight Davis Tennis Center is in Forest Park, just south of the Missouri History Museum (5620 Grand Drive 63112, 314-361-0177). There is a large parking lot on the east side of the tennis courts.
The courts will be open for warm-up starting at 6:45 am daily. The officials will clear the courts at 7:45 am, so that we can get started on time.
TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN
Please check in for the tournament by 7:30 am on Saturday, to receive your tournament t-shirt, and ensure your medical waiver has been confirmed.

Playing to completion : Every junior will have four rounds of tournament play, and your child is expected to play this tournament to completion.
Although we have never needed to do so, this tournament is sanctioned through Monday, September 14. The current forecast for the weekend is 90 degrees, with a 20% chance of rain, but in the event of a significant weather delay, it is possible a round of play could be pushed to Monday.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SATURDAY
There is a cross-country festival taking place next to the tennis courts on Saturday, which will close a few of the roads in the park, and make parking more "competitive" to find. PLEASE ENTER Forest Park using the DeBaliviere Ave entrance (by the Missouri History Museum) or use the entrance at Lagoon Dr from Skinker Rd.
I recommend you arrive on Saturday at 6:45 am to secure a parking spot, and come prepared to stay between matches on Saturday. Some food options: pack your lunch, get delivery from Jimmy John's or Panera Bread, walk 2 minutes to the Forest Perk Café (7 am-4 pm, in the visitor center), or walk 5 minutes to Amighetti's (10 am-5 pm, in the History Museum).
The cross-country festival runs from 7:30 am to 3 pm on Saturday.
On Sunday, traffic and parking will be back to normal.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 3?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Thu, Aug 20, 10:59am CDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.

After registering for the tournament and paying your entry fee, you will be taken to the "Communications" step where you will see "Assign doubles partners" under the notifications area. Click the "Assign" button next to your name. You will be given three options here: 1. Tournament Director to assign partner 2. Partner has not yet registered 3. Names of players that have already registered. Select either option 2 or 3, click save changes, and then save at the bottom. The tournament director will NOT assign partners for this tournament.
If your partner has registered first, you will be able to select them as your partner. If you select a partner, the partner will receive an email to inform them that they have been paired with you. They will have the option to contact yourself and/or the TD if they do not wish to be paired with you for this tournament, so please ONLY select a partner who has agreed to play with you.
If you need to make a change to your partner after completing this step, please email the tournament director.

DUE TO THIS TOURNAMENT BEING A DOM DUO TEAM FORMAT IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY TAKE PRIORITY 1 REGARDLESS OF OTHER PRIORITIES YOU LIST. Please be aware of this before signing up for the tournament.
ENTRY PROCESS:
Players Must Enter With Partner: Please note, although registration for singles is not required, singles will still be played at this event. To register, each player must sign up for doubles with a partner online. When signing up for doubles, BOTH players must list each other as partners. A complete registration means you have signed up for doubles AND listed your doubles partner. Both partners must register correctly to be considered for selection.
1. DRAW, SCORING FORMATS, DRAW PUBLICATION, EARLIEST MATCH START TIMES
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Each team will have a #1 singles player and a #2 singles player determined based on his/her standing on the National Singles Standing list used for selection. In a compass draw by teams, each team match consists of a #1 singles match, #2 singles match, and a doubles match. The team that wins 2 out of the 3 matches wins the team match. After each team match, the teams move to a different part of the compass draw depending on the team result.
Please note, players earn points based on individual wins and not team wins. Even if a team does not advance in the draw, players receive credit for any individual matches won. Each team will be guaranteed 4 team matches, unless the draw is not full for reasons such as teams withdrawing due to injury, illness or personal circumstance.
SCORING FORMAT/DRAW SIZE
Singles: Ad-scoring, best 2 of 3 sets, with a 10 point tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set
Doubles: No-ad scoring, pro set to 6 games with a 7 point tiebreak at 6-6, if necessary
The draw is limited to 16 teams (32 players) in each division.
POINTS AWARDED
The #1 singles player will receive 150 points per win. The #2 singles player will receive 128 points per win.

Dwight Davis (DDTC) is located in Forest Park, just south of the Missouri History Museum. To avoid traffic on the weekend, it is recommended you enter the park from Skinker or Lindell/Forest Park Parkway. There is parking on the street, and in the large parking lot to the east of the courts.

7. SCHEDULE OF PLAY
TWO DAY TOURNAMENT
This tournament is scheduled to be played the first two days of the sanction period. Day 3 will only be used if we run into significant rain delays. If everything goes as planned, matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm.
All competitors will play all four rounds of the compass draw, and failure to play the tournament to completion may result in suspension points.
8. PRACTICE COURTS
Practice courts will be available on Friday, September 11. To reserve a court, players should call DDTC at 314-361-0177, and tell the attendant you are in the National Level 3 tournament. (The court rate on Friday is $12/hour.)
Practice courts will also be available each morning of the tournament starting at 7 am, and continuing until Officials clear the courts 15 minutes before the start of match play. (No charge for practice courts on Saturday-Sunday.)
9. STRINGING
Dwight Davis does not have a stringer on site. Stringing service is available overnight. Another option is to take racquets to Forever Tennis (721 Old Frontenac Sq, 63131, 314-995-6860), which is open 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 9 am to 1 pm on Sunday. Forever Tennis will provide as quick a turnaround as possible, which may be 30 minutes up to 2 hours, depending on how many racquets you have, and whether other players from our tournament are there too. (The trip from Dwight Davis to Forever Tennis is about 9 miles / 20 minutes.)

Due to the team nature of Dominant Duo events, players who register will have this tournament defaulted to their first preference. The system will not ask you to order this event. Please note that you may do one of the following as it relates to Dominant Duo L3s:
• Apply for two (2) Dominant Duo L3s
• Apply for one (1) Dominant Duo L3 and one (1) other L3
• Apply for one (1) Dominant Duo L3
