Junior Circuit Tournaments – are non-elimination events, and use Orange, Green or Yellow balls. Participants should be able to serve and rally PRIOR to registering and playing in a tournament.

No Late Entries - will be accepted. Do not wait until the last minute to register. If you have technical difficulties, contact USTA St. Louis Youth Progression Coordinator, Toni McDonald at jtt@ustast.com , before the entry deadline.

Youth Progression – Players receive points from USTA Junior Circuit tournaments, USTA Junior Team Tennis matches, and USTA Team Challenges. Players may view their points using the Net Generation PlayTracker, and learn more about the youth progression system at https://netgeneration.usta.com/us-en/the-net-generation-playtracker.html.

Player Eligibility – the minimum age for a player to participate in a USTA competitive event is 5 years old. (Ages 5-7 are recommended to play in red ball events, ages 7-9 are recommended to play in orange ball events, and ages 9-11 are recommended to play in green ball events). Players advance from orange ball to green ball by earning points. Players graduate from green ball to yellow ball by earning enough play points and win points in green ball play.

Age divisions – Junior Circuit events are based on ball color and not specific age division. Although a player may move to yellow ball the month he/she turns 11 years old, a player older than 10 may also continue to play junior circuit events to develop their skills.

Scoring Formats - are determined by the number of participants, in round robin play.

Player Withdrawals - must be done online BEFORE the entry deadline.

No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.

What is a Junior Circuit?

USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.

When do we know?

Selections post after entries close (Mon, Nov 23, 4:59pm CST). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
