Skill Level: Intermediate

Eligibility: This event is open to all junior members of the USTA. A player must be 11 years of age or have completed the USTA 10 and Under Youth Progression.

Draw Size: The draw is limited to 16 players per division.

Draw Type: Depending on number of participants either a round robin, feed in consolation through the semi-finals, or feed in consolation through the quarterfinals. Participants will play no more than four singles rounds.

Tournament Selection: Hybrid Selection. After the entry deadline has passed the tournament director will select the top 12 players based on the most recent USTA National Standings List, followed by the next 4 players based on WTN.

Seeding: Based on WTN.

Scoring Format: Main draw - best two out of three tiebreak sets to 6 games with a 10 point tiebreak in lieu of a third set. Consolation - 8 game pro set with a 7 point tiebreak played at 8 games all. Depending on the number of participants, no-ad scoring may be used for both main and consolation.

Schedule: This is a 3-day tournament (each division will complete play over two days). If you cannot play throughout the tournament do not register for this event as failing to play to completion for reasons other than injury, illness, or personal circumstance will be penalized (The tournament committee will determine what constitutes a personal circumstance).

Withdrawals before entries close: Use the online registration process to withdraw from an event before entries close. You will not be charged if you withdraw before the deadline.

Refunds: No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after the entry deadline has passed.

No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.

What is a Level 6?

The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.

When do we know?
