Tournament Overview: Super Series are “Open” level-based singles tournaments that group players by their ratings into four compass draws of 8 players in each division. A total of 32 players are selected for each division. The intent is to put players in a draw with similarly skilled opponents to maximize competitive match opportunities, and the tournament is intended for advanced players. It is highly recommended that players first have success at Level 5 Tournaments before competing in Level 4 Tournaments.

Residency in NorCal is NOT required; players from any Sectional Association may enter this tournament. Additionally, this tournament is only open to US Citizens and certain authorized non-citizens. If you have any questions about eligibility, please contact the Tournament Director.

Competition Information:

This is “Open” Level 4 Tournament. Residency in NorCal is NOT required; players from any Sectional Association may enter this tournament.

• The draw is limited to 32 players in each division; an ordered alternate list will be published for events that exceed this number. Players will be flighted into four 8-player compass draws in each division. If the draw is full each participant will play 3 singles matches. If fewer than 32 players enter, not all players may be selected.

• Players will be selected, flighted and seeded using the new ITF World Tennis Number (WTN).

Matches to be played Soquel High and Cabrillo College

Any withdrawal may affect ALL of the compass draws in a division - so just a head's up!

- Format is Best of 2/3 tie break sets with a full 3rd for split sets with Regular Scoring .

Diadem balls will be used. A new can of balls will be provided for the 3rd set should the players split sets.

If players split sets, there is a 10-minute mandatory rest period with coaching if desired. DO NOT be late back to court! Lateness penalties are a loss of one game for the first five minutes, and then you are defaulted if later.

- Sportsmanship - We expect and anticipate exemplary behavior and sportsmanship from all players and their associated persons. All of us are under the Player's Oath and the Code. If you cannot say something kind, positive, and encouraging, just do not say it. If players are having an issue on court, they may come off court and find an official or court monitor to assist them. All other associated persons should not interject themselves into any match or offer advice(coaching) at any time.

- Overrules: NorCal will code any player on the third and any subsequent overrules during an entire tournament for unsportsmanlike conduct. Do not call a ball out unless you are 100% positive that it is out.

We wish everyone a wonderful, safe, and fun yournament!
