Tournament Overview: This is a two-day “Open” Level 5 Tournament that offers intermediate to advanced competition. It is highly recommended that players first have success at Level 6 Tournaments before competing in Level 5 Tournaments. Residency in NorCal is NOT required; players from any Sectional Association may enter this tournament.
IMPORTANT Information on Concurrent Entries:
• CONCURRENT ENTRY NOTE WHEN TOURNAMENT HAS MORE THAN ONE DIVISION FOR A GENDER AND PERMITS ENTRY IN TO DIVISIONS: Entering Two Age Divisions of THIS Tournament: The Tournament Committee permits players to enter up to two age divisions of THIS tournament without prior permission; however, players will be selected in descending division order and will only play in one age division. For example, if a player enters the 16s and the 14s and is accepted into the 16s, the player will play in the 16s; a player that is not accepted for the 16s and is accepted in the 14s will play in the 14s; a player that is not accepted for either division will be on the alternate list for both divisions. The same applies if a player enters the 14s and 12s. The only exception to this is if, before the draws are made, there is an opening in a draw with no alternates, and the player requests to be moved from one event to the other.
• Entering THIS Tournament and ANOTHER CONCURRENT Level 5 Tournament: A player desiring to enter this tournament and another Level 5 Tournament with overlapping dates must receive written approval of both Tournament Committees before the entry deadline. Failure to do this before the deadline may result in the assessment of Suspension Points for improper concurrent entry. If you desire to do this, BEFORE ENTRIES CLOSE, please email [Name & Email Address] and the tournament director of the other Championship to make this request.
• Entering THIS Tournament and ANOTHER CONCURRENT Level 6 or 7 Tournament: This Level 5 Tournament closes registration and does player selection before any concurrent Level 6 or 7 Tournament closes registration. A player who is on the alternate list for this Level 5 Tournament is not considered in violation of the Concurrent Tournament Rule if they enter another concurrent Level 6 or 7 Tournament; however, once a player accepts a spot in a concurrent tournament, they may not withdraw to play in another concurrent tournament without incurring suspension points for an improper withdrawal, unless they had the written authorization to do so at the time entries closed for from both Tournament Committees.

Committee reserves the right to increase this number to 24 if some of the events in this Tournament receive fewer than the draw size and permission is received from USTA NorCal to do so, an ordered alternate list will be published for events that exceed this number.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 5?
A district-level event. Bigger draws, ranking matters for selection, points per win are higher than Level 6.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Wed, Sep 30, 2:59pm PDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.

• Match Formats: Note that in the event of inclement weather the USTA Regulations permit the Referee to shorten the match format from those described below.
- Main Draw and 3rd Place Playoff Match Format: Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets (6-game sets) with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak played in lieu of the 3rd set.
- Consolation Draw Match Format: Best of 3 Short Sets (4-game sets) with a 7-Point Match Tiebreak played in lieu of the 3rd set. (A 7-point Set Tiebreak is played at 4 games all in each set.)
• Players will be selected using the most recently published National Standings List. Selection will be done no later than the end of the day on Friday following the entry deadline. Click here to review the currently published lists.
• Players will be seeded using the most recently published Singles Seeing List.
• This tournament has been designated to count for USTA Level 5 Ranking.
• Awards will be given to the 1st - 3rd place finishers, and the consolation winner. If the draw has 16 or more players, the 4th place finisher will also receive an award.
*** Tournament Desk - Check In ***
Please check in at the tournament desk at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled match time. If you are late, regardless if a court is available, you will be penalized one game for each 5 minutes you are late up to 3 games or fifteen minutes, after which you will be defaulted. Exceptions are at the discretion of the referee

Parking is Available for Free.
Please expect the parking lot to be in much use so allocate some time so find adequate parking and to not be late for your matches. Parking up on the street is a good idea because you can view matches from there!
Event & Draws Information and Match Formats: Feed-In Championship to the Quarterfinals
[1] All Singles Events will be Best of 3 Tie-Break sets with a Match Tie-Break (10 points), in lieu of a third set. Regular scoring
[2] Consolation Round Format is Two short sets to 4, 7point tiebreaker at 4-4. If the set score reaches 1 all, a 7-point match tiebreak will be played. Doubles matches will be 8 game pro sets regular scoring.
[3] Draw Limit: 16
[4] Be on time for your matches: Check-in at the tournament desk (at your specific site) 15 minutes BEFORE your scheduled match times and be ready to play. Penalties for lateness will be enforced.

1. Draws of Up to 8 Players. Singles and doubles awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers, and consolation winners.
2. Draws of 16 or More Players. Singles and doubles awards will be presented to:
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers;
• when a Feed-In Championship through the round of 16 is held, the 5th place finishers and consolation winners
[6] Courts will be open 45 minutes early for practice.
[7] Appropriate tennis attire is expected.
[8] Players/Spectators/Coaches are encouraged to exhibit good sportsmanship. Please note there is a 'No Tolerance' policy for sportsmanship issues, especially cell phone usage next to the courts!
*** How to Find your Match Date/Time & Location ***
The following instructions are to be used after the posting of the draws on Wednesday.
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH YOUR MATCH TIME AND LOCATION SO PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
On the right of the 'Important Information' button there is a new 'draws' button.
Click on it and select the event that a player is registered to.
On the left of each draw, find the player's name and follow the line to the right.
That will show you the first match, with a date/time and the abbreviated site name LTC or NGH
Come 15 minutes before your scheduled match time.
After your match, report your match result (win or lose) and ask for your next match time.
*** Concurrent Tournament Rule ***
When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments if any parts of the tournaments overlap, unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing. If entries for the overlapping tournaments close on different dates, approval must be received from all Tournament Committees no later than the entry closing date that occurs last. Players who enter a tournament and play it to completion, may then enter another tournament with overlapping dates without permission. A player who is on the alternate list in one tournament is not considered in violation of the Concurrent Tournament Rule if they enter another concurrent tournament.
Players who violate the Concurrent Tournament Rule shall forfeit all ranking points earned at the concurrent tournaments.
*** Check Your Draw Closely for your Site (for Each Match) ***
All draws are subject to change. Please recheck draws for changes in time and or withdrawals. All changes made within 24 hrs of tournament start will be phoned to the affected parties.Make sure to have all contact info with the USTA.
Rain Information
Please note that in the event of rain, scoring formats may be shortened to allow a tournament time to be completed.
In the event of rain on the first day, this day of the tournament will not be suspended any earlier than 12 noon. At or after that time, it is up to the discretion of the tournament director as to whether court conditions allow for the tournament to resume.
If rain continues into the second day, the tournament director must wait until at least 12 noon before they decide to cancel the remainder of the tournament.

[1] When registering to the tournament, please make sure to provide your contact information (phone #s and email address) as we would otherwise be unable to reach you when needed (registration issues, schedule changes, withdraws, weather issues, ...).
[2] The tournament reserves the right to limit the size of each of the draws/events to accommodate the number of courts available.

[3] After the posting of the draws, please FIRST CALL the TD and then email BOTH the Tournament Director and the Referee.
