8/19 Travel Alert: Beginning September 11, part of I-5 in the center of Portland will be closed for up to 5 weeks. Normal travel times across the city are expected to increase by two or three times. Each player will receive a player gift on Friday during check-in. Bananas will also be provided throughout the event at the tournament desk.
FRIDAY FREE PIZZA
The tournament will provide free pizza to all players on Friday around 6 pm. Please let us know by 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 24 if there are any dietary restrictions so we can prepare accordingly.

SELECTION PROCESS
• The top 6 players that register from each section, in their respective gender and age division, will be selected using the NSL List that is set to be published on 8/13/2026.
• Team Selections will be posted on 8/15/26
• Players will be waterfalled into teams based on 9/23/2026 WTN
* Players may only play in ONE division. Players can register for multiple age divisions in the Pacific Cup Team Events, but if they are selected into an older age division then they must play in that event. Anyone selected for 12s-16s will be ineligible for 18s.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 2?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
Can we enter two divisions?
One event per player at this tournament. Pick the age group that matches your junior's birth year, or the one up if they are ready for it.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Thu, Aug 13, 8:59am PDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.

Players can remain on the alternates list of more than one age division but cannot play in more than one event.

ALTERNATES
Section alternates will be used for each section until the section alternate list is exhausted (Please note that when the alternate list is posted it is not ordered by section but NSL- highest NSL in a section will fill available spots). If sections don’t fill their spots, players from other sections on the overall alternate list (ordered by NSL) will start filling vacant spots starting 1 week after the entry deadline . If any late entries enter after all vacant spots have been filled on their team by members of other section's players, they are permitted to be the #1 alternate for their team (but will not kick out any previously selected players). Players may not be able to withdraw from the division that they were accepted in to play in another division.
TEAM FORMAT
• Each section will send two teams of 3 boys and 3 girls (6 boys and 6 girls total)
• The teams will be split into two flights where no two teams from the same section will be in the same flight. Players will be waterfalled onto their teams (waterfall method using WTN). • Team 1: Boys 1, 4, 5; Girls 2, 3, 6
• Team 2: Boys 2, 3, 6; Girls 1, 4, 5
• Each team will play every team in their own flight. The first place in each pool will play off for 1st/2nd place. All other teams will play a crossover match against a team not from their section for their last team match.
• Each team match will consist of 3 boys singles, 3 girls singles, and 3 doubles matches. The doubles matches will be as follows: • Round 1: #1s play mixed doubles, others play gender doubles
• Round 2: #2s play mixed doubles, others play gender doubles
• Round 3: #3s play mixed doubles, others play gender doubles
• Playoffs: Everyone plays mixed doubles
COACHES

SCORING FORMATS
Singles: Best of 3 tiebreak sets with a 10-pt breaker for the 3rd; No-Ad Scoring
Doubles/Mixed: 6-game set with 7-point Tiebreak at 6 all; No-Ad Scoring
LATENESS POLICY
(If one player or team is late)
1. 5 minutes or less: Loss of toss plus 1 game
2. 5:01-10 minutes: Loss of toss plus 2 games
3. 10:01-15 minutes: Loss of toss plus 3 games
4. More than 15 minutes: Default
OFFICIALS
While there may be roving officials, players are encouraged to play tennis without the need for officials to be present. In the case of disputed calls upon the request of a player, a roving official may be requested to observe a portion of the match. Spectators are not to make calls, offer advice/try to help with scoring disputes or insert themselves in the match in any way.
A ball that is 99% out is 100% in - make calls fairly, loudly, and clearly. Call the score clearly prior to every serve to try and avoid scoring conflicts. Scoring conflicts should be handled calmly, rationally, and between the players on the court.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the case of inclement weather, the tournament director has the authority to shorten scoring formats and/or cancel matches if necessary according to the guidelines set forth in Friend at Court.
DOUBLE TOURNAMENT ENTRIES
Players are not permitted to enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournament sanction dates overlap. Once you have been selected for a tournament, you are committed to finishing out that tournament and cannot enter another tournament. After a player has been eliminated from a tournament whose schedule of play partially overlaps with that of a second tournament, the player may enter the second tournament. Players who violate this rule will receive four (4) suspension points. If you are an alternate for another tournament, you MUST remove yourself from the alternate list once you are accepted into the tournament.
WITHDRAWAL/DEFAULT NO-SHOW POLICY
It is mandatory to notify the Tournament Director in written communication (via email) that a player needs to withdraw. Failure to notify the Tournament Director via email will receive a “Default No-Show” and 5 suspension points per the USTA Suspension Point System (USTA Regulations IV.F)
USTA PNW REFUND POLICY
No refund is required after selection, however due to the early registration deadline of the Pacific Cup, refunds will be granted until September 4, 2026. After September 4, 2026, no refunds will be issued.
