The Junior Competition Committee has voted to have the USTA So Cal staff responsible for L3 closed, L4 open & closed, and L5 seedings using a Computerized List Method (As of January 1, 2023, the JCC will utilize WTN as its computerized list) . Doubles seedings will be the combined singles WTN of the two players. Ties in combined doubles WTN will be broken using combined NSL of the two players.
**Important Update** - On February 5, 2025, the USTA Southern California Junior Competition Committee voted and unanimously approved that: If you are in a two weekend tournament and withdraw (for any reason) from either Singles and/or Doubles (regardless of which partner withdraws) once the draw is PUBLISHED, you CANNOT enter a different tournament on EITHER weekend (applies to SoCal Tournaments only). Doing so is considered a double entry/ improper withdrawal and it will result in 4 suspension points and you will not be allowed to play in either tournament. A detailed explanation for the withdrawal must be submitted by email to the tournament director.

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 3?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Wed, Oct 14, 2:59pm PDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
