J60 Claremont and L4 Long Beach Tournament Double Entry/Improper Withdrawal Information:
L4 Long Beach Sanction Dates are Feb 14-15; Feb 21-22. J60 Claremont Qualies start Feb 14-15. J60 Main Draw is from February 16-20.
Deadline for the L4 Long Beach tournament is February 4th at 2:59PM (PST). Selections will be made shortly after. If you are selected into the L4 Long Beach tournament, you are not eligible to enter or play in the qualifier for the J60 Claremont because of the overlapping sanction date of Feb 14-15 (this is considered double entry and subject to suspension points). If you withdraw for any reason from the L4 Long Beach to play in the qualifier of the J60 or any other tournament the weekend of Feb 14-15 or Feb 21-22, you will be subjected to receiving suspension points for improper withdrawal.

If you know that you are in the main draw of the J60 Claremont and L4 Long Beach, you are eligible to play both since the sanction dates do not overlap.
**Important Update** - On February 5, 2025, the USTA Southern California Junior Competition Committee voted and unanimously approved that: If you are in a two weekend tournament and withdraw (for any reason) from either Singles and/or Doubles (regardless of which partner withdraws) once the draw is PUBLISHED, you CANNOT enter a different tournament on EITHER weekend (applies to SoCal Tournaments only). Doing so is considered a double entry/ improper withdrawal, and it will result in 4 suspension points, and you will not be allowed to play in either tournament. A detailed explanation for the withdrawal must be submitted by email to the tournament director.
Please note that you are permitted to enter another tournament whose entries are still open at the time you are eliminated from all events of the L4. This does not apply if you withdrew from the L4 for any reason.
USTA Friend At Court states, “Player shall not enter two tournaments at same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments overlap”.

On-Site Alternates:
If you wish to be an on-site alternate you must show up to the location that your division's singles are playing 15 minutes before the first scheduled singles match. check in at the desk and wait. You must stay on-site until the last first round goes out. If we call you and you left, you cannot be put in the draw.

Will my junior get in?
Boys' Doubles 14 & under, Boys' Singles 14 & under, Boys' Singles 16 & under, Boys' Singles 18 & under, Girls' Singles 14 & under, Girls' Singles 16 & under are full; the rest have room. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 4?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
