Counts are live from USTA as of the last hour. Selection is by ranking list: a full draw still takes alternates, and unranked juniors get in when a draw is not full.

**Important Update** - On February 5, 2025, the USTA Southern California Junior Competition Committee voted and unanimously approved that: If you are in a two weekend tournament and withdraw (for any reason) from either Singles and/or Doubles (regardless of which partner withdraws) once the draw is PUBLISHED, you CANNOT enter a different tournament on EITHER weekend (applies to SoCal Tournaments only). Doing so is considered a double entry/ improper withdrawal and it will result in 4 suspension points and you will not be allowed to play in either tournament. A detailed explanation for the withdrawal must be submitted by email to the tournament director.
*This is a 2 weekend event*

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 4?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Wed, Mar 11, 2:59pm PDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
Text Coach Ace at (213) 410-2440 with your junior's name and division. Ace keeps the file: deadline, selections, draws, and what to do the night before.
NOTE* All divisions will offer a 3/4 play-off - Match format for this will be 2 sets with a 10 point tie-break. 3rd place receives 324 points and 4th place receives 270 points.
Voluntary Consolation:
ALL consolation matches will be played during the second weekend.
Please send an email to Chanel (csimmonds@ytsd.org) to sign up for consolation. Please include your division and USTA Number to expedite the process. Players have until Tuesday 5pm, March 24th to email and be added.
Consolation format: 2 out of 3 sets to 4 games, 7 point tie-breaker at 1 set all.
Voluntary Consolation: VC only applies to the following:
Players that lose in the first round of the main draw
Players who have advanced to the second round of the main draw via bye then lose in the second round
Players who have advanced to the third round of the main draw via double-bye then lose in the third round.
IMPORTANT! Players who advance to the second round of the main draw via walkover/ withdrawal/ default/ retirement that lose in the second round of the main draw CANNOT be added to the voluntary consolation draw!
