Welcome to our 2nd, of we hope are many, Stephen Beluris Junior Tennis Tournament. Stephen and his wife Terese were and remain huge supporters of our tennis programs here in Ventura. In honor of Stephen, we are hoping to make this a fun event where the kids have the opportunity to enjoy this sport for a lifeitme as Stephen did. To make it a fun event for the players we will have BIG trophies, gatorades, water and bars for the players. Below are some important facts to know for the tournament.

SITE LOCATION

The tournament desk will be located near the lower 2 courts next to the little green shed.

There is parking next to the tennis courts on Central Campus Way and also a larger parking lot just west of the upper parkng lot at the next entrance, which is West Campus Way.

Ventura College(VC on the draw): 4667 Telegraph Rd. Ventura, Ca. 93003.

There are public courts for warming up at Buena High School and Juanamaria Park. They are open to the public and first come, first serve basis.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING SCORING INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH EVENT.

Boys 14's, Boys 16's, Girls 12's and Girls 16's matches are 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point tie breaker played for the 3rd set.

Boys 12's and Girls 14's are doing a round robin format and playing 2 out of 3 FAST 4 sets. A 7 point Tie- Breaker is played if the set reaches 4 games all and in if the players split sets.

ALL CONSOLATION MATCHES ARE 8 GAME PRO SETS WITH A 7 POINT TIE BREAKER PLAYED AT 7 GAMES ALL.

THERE ARE PORTABLE TOILETS LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE 2 LOWER COURTS NEAR THE WEST PARKING LOT.

THERE ARE NICER BATHROOM FACILITIES UP NEAR THE FOOTBALL FIELD BUT THEY ARE A SHORT WALK AWAY SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THOSE LEAVE YOURSELF TIME TO MAKE IT TO THE DESK TO BE ON TIME FOR YOUR MATCH.

WE WILL BE USING THE DUNLOP GRAN PRIX BALL FOR THIS EVENT

WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE STEPHEN BELURIS JUNIOR TENNIS TOURNAMENT. WE ARE EXCITED TO SEE SOME GREAT TENNIS THIS WEEKEND AND HOPEFULLY ENJOY SOME BEAUTIFUL WEATHER. PLEASE ALLOW AMPLE TIME TO GET TO THE SITE IF YOU ARE COMING FROM OUT OF THE AREA.

Will my junior get in?

No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.

What is a Level 6?

The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.

Can we enter two divisions?

One event per player at this tournament. Pick the age group that matches your junior's birth year, or the one up if they are ready for it.

When do we know?
