THIS EVENT IS HELD IN HONOR OF LOCAL TENNIS LEGEND ARNIE SAUL. ARNIE IN ADDITION TO CAOCHING AND TEACHING TENNIS TO LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF LOCAL JUNIORS THRU THE YEARS ARNIE WAS A STANDOUT BASKETBALL COACH AND ACCOMPLISHED GOLFER AS WELL. AMONG THE MANY STUDENTS TAUGHT BY ARNIE OVER THE YEARS WERE 2 OF THE ALL TIME GREAT INTERCOLLEGIATE COACHES, DICK GOULD,17 TIME NATIONAL CHAMPION AT STANFORD UNIVERSITY, AND TOM CHIVINGTON,11 TIME STATE CHAMPION AT FOOTHILL COMMUNITY COLLEGE. BOTH BORN AND RAISED LOCALLY HERE IN VENTURA. WE THANK ARNIE FOR HIS YEARS OF PROVIDING NOT ONLY TENNIS LESSONS BUT LIFE LESSONS TO ALL THE LOCAL JUNIOR PLAYERS HERE IN VENTURA AND WE HOPE THIS EVENT HELPS CARRY ON HIS LEGACY FOR YEARS TO COME.

There is parking next to the tennis courts on Central Campus Way and also a larger parking lot just west of the upper parkng lot at the next entrance, which is West Campus Way.
There are public courts for warming up at Buena High School and Juanamaria Park. They are open to the public and first come, first serve basis.
GIRLS MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY.
BOYS MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED ON SUNDAY.
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING SCORING INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH EVENT.
Boy's 12's will be a round robin format with each match consisting of a short set to 4. A 7 point tie break will be played at 4 games all.
Boys' 14's, Boy's 18's will be round robin format. Matches will be 2 out of 3 short sets to 4 games with a 7 point tie break at 4 games all. a 7 point tie break will be played in lieu of a 3rd set.
Boy's 16's matches will be a round robin format consisting of 5 total games each round.
Girls 16's will also be a round robin format. Matche will consist of 5 total games each round.

PLEASE ALLOW YOURSELF AMPLE TIME TO ARRIVE EARLY FOR YOUR MATCH AND WHEN YOU CHECK IN BE READY TO PLAY!
THERE ARE PORTABLE TOILETS LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE 2 LOWER COURTS NEAR THE WEST PARKING LOT.
THERE ARE NICER BATHROOM FACILITIES UP NEAR THE FOOTBALL FIELD BUT THEY ARE A SHORT WALK AWAY SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THOSE LEAVE YOURSELF TIME TO MAKE IT TO THE DESK TO BE ON TIME FOR YOUR MATCH.

The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
Can we enter two divisions?
