Draw format and selection process

Up to 32 players will be selected in each age division. If there are more than 16 players in one age division, the draw will be split in to two flights, Blue and Red.

Singles will be first round losers consolation .

Doubles will be single elimination.

Please plan for up to two main draw matches or three consolation matches in one day.

Players will be selected in order of the National Standings List (NSL).

Match formats

All main draw singles matches will be the best of two tiebreak sets and a 10 point match tiebreak, at one set all, using no-ad scoring.

All doubles matches and consolation matches will be an eight game pro-set with a regular tiebreak at 8 games all, using no-ad scoring.

If playing in doubles, players may have to change sites during the day. Players will have adaquate time when changing sites.

Draws and match formats may be altered for cogent reason.

Practice Courts

Practice courts are not guaranteed at sites. Fountain Valley Tennis Center has a hitting wall. Below are recommendations, but they are public facilities, so they are not guaranteed.

DOUBLES PAIRING

It's VERY IMPORTANT to pair with your partner when entering in doubles. Your registration is not complete until BOTH players confirm and you receive a CONFIRMATION EMAIL! Please contact the tournament director BEFORE the entry deadline if you need assistance.

If you are looking for a doubles partner, there are two ways to find one through Match Tennis App . Once you have a partner, your registration is not complete until you are PAIRED with your partner via the USTA registration page. Players are responsible for finding their own doubles partner and pairing with them before the entry deadline.
