1. DRAW, SCORING FORMATS, DRAW PUBLICATION
Singles format - All Singles: 2 out of 3 sets, with a Match Tiebreak in lieu of a full third set, (first to 10, must win by 2 points) with and a 3-minute rest period before the 3rd set Match Tiebreak.
Doubles format - One Pro Set (NO-AD) with a 7-point tiebreak at 8-games ALL: A 5-minute warm-up will be allowed at the beginning of each match. Single Elimination

Will my junior get in?
Boys' Doubles 12 & under, Boys' Singles 12 & under, Girls' Doubles 12 & under are full; the rest have room. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 2?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Thu, Sep 17, 12:00pm EDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.

DOUBLES DEADLINE
ALL PLAYERS WISHING TO PLAY DOUBLES MUST EMAIL ME THEIR TEAMS BY Oct 5th
ALL PLAYERS IN THE SEMIFINALS OF DOUBLES WILL PLAY AGAIN EITHER FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP OR THE 3rd/4th POSITION.
SELECTION PROCESS FOR DOUBLES:
1st. priority = two main draw singles players
2nd priority = one main draw & one alternate player
3rd priority = two alternates.
If there are too many teams entered the above rules will apply. If there is only one spot left and there are two or more teams with one main draw & one alternate, the doubles seeding list (Oct 1st) rankings will decide. if there is one spot left and I have two or more teams of alternates the same rules apply.

During this USTA National Level 3 Tournament, All matches played at Lakewood Tennis Center will be recorded in HIGH DEFINITION. These recordings will be available for purchase by tournament competitors at a moderate cost. .Check-in at the Pro Shop (or Video table) to find out how to order yours. Refund Policy:
Refund of Entry Fees. The Tournament Committee shall refund a player’s entire entry fee if:
• The player withdraws before the entry deadline;
• The entry is not accepted; or
• The withdrawal is for previously authorized entry into another tournament.
In all other cases, a refund is not required. The Tournament Committee shall not charge any fee (such
as processing, service, or handling fee) for refunding the entry fee.
AIRPORTS
Long Beach (LGB) is only a couple of miles from the tennis center. Los Angeles & Orange County are about 20 miles away.

Player Entry and Selection Procedure: This Tournament is part of the October Level 2 Tournament Block . Please click here to view the complete policy for multiple entries in a USTA Level 2 Open tournament.
If you want to play in a USTA National Level 2 Tournament but are unsure if you will get in, you may enter up to two different age divisions of up to four sites of USTA National Level 2 tournaments. When selection is done, players are selected for the oldest age division first, based on the most recently published National Standing List of the division of the tournament.
If you are selected into the older age division entered, you will not be selected into the younger age division. If you are not selected into the older age division, you will only be considered for selection into the younger division, and if you are not selected into the younger division, you will only be eligible to be an alternate in the younger division.
Additionally, the computerized selection system attempts to fill the draws based on the first choice of sites of all players. If spots are still open, it looks at the second choice of sites for the remaining players, then the third, and, finally, the fourth. It is VERY IMPORTANT to only prioritize sites you are willing to play.
Those players who have not been selected after all four USTA National Level 2 Tournament draws have been filled shall be placed on the alternate lists at all tournaments for which the players have indicated a preference. The players are ordered on the alternate lists based on the player’s standing on the National Selection List used to select players.
Players will not be selected into two locations.
Sportsmanship and the USTA Champion’s Pledge : All participants shall familiarize themselves with The Code which is meant to be a guide to fair play. By participating in the tournament, all players agree to abide by the USTA Champion’s Pledge: “I promise to: Compete with the true spirit of Sportsmanship; Have fun; Always give the benefit of the doubt to my opponent; Manage my emotions and be respectful to my opponent, tournament officials, and parents; Play to win with grace and lose with dignity; Invest time in knowing the rules; Obey the rules and respect the officials’ decisions; Never quit!”
Spectator Oath: All tournament guests, including family members, coaches, and other spectators, must adhere to the USTA Spectator Oath: “I pledge to set a positive example for players, treat fellow parents, coaches, and officials with respect, emphasize the importance of fair play and good sportsmanship, cheer respectfully for winner and good points - not errors and double faults, allow players to work out on-court disputes, and not interfere with matches.”
