LEVEL 6 SELECTION/SEEDING PROCESS
The selection process for Level 6 tournaments is by top to bottom ranking. This means the highest ranked players will be selected first. Players with no ranking will be selected in random order. Players who are not selected will be placed on an alternate list. Please note that any draws over 16 players will be split into two draws either waterfalled or flighted (waterfalled=two draws of equal strength; flighted=two draws where one flight has the top players and second flight has the lower ranked/rated players). Seeding is based off the National Standings List.

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
Boys' Singles 12 & under, Boys' Singles 14 & under are full; the rest have room. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 6?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
Can we enter two divisions?
One event per player at this tournament. Pick the age group that matches your junior's birth year, or the one up if they are ready for it.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Tue, Apr 21, 2:59pm PDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
