From the tournament desk
Selections will be made by the SCTA Tuesday morning. Please have a partner when signing up.
Will be run as a compass draw (multiple matches win or lose). Please be ready to play multiple matches. We will be able to take up to 16 teams per division if there are 16 or more teams signed up. If we dont have at least 16 teams signed up, we will only take 8 teams per division so go ahead and sign up. Since this is a compass draw, expect to play matches on Saturday and Sunday. The tournament will not be finished in one day.
Format:
1 doubles set to 6 no ad scoring.
1 singles match per teammate, 2 sets to 4, no ad, with 7-point tie break if split sets.
Individual matches within a team match will be play consecutively on the same court. The player not playing during their singles match may coach their teammate on changeovers only. No other coaching is allowed.

The selection process for this tournament is by top to bottom combined NSL ranking of the two players. This means the highest ranked players will be selected first. Players with no ranking will be selected in random order. Players who are not selected will be placed on an alternate list.
This tournament is a Dominant Duo format where players will enter as same-gender doubles teams. Each team match will consist of 2 lines of singles and 1 line of doubles. The higher ranked player (by NSL) will play position #1 singles and the second player will play position #2. The two players will then play doubles together.

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 5?
A district-level event. Bigger draws, ranking matters for selection, points per win are higher than Level 6.
Can we enter two divisions?
One event per player at this tournament. Pick the age group that matches your junior's birth year, or the one up if they are ready for it.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Mon, Sep 7, 2:59pm PDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
