Welcome to Pacific Beach Tennis Club's Summar Jam Level 7 Junior Tournament! All matches for this tournament will be held at Pacific Beach Tennis Club (2639 Grand Ave. San Diego, CA 92109).

DRAW FORMAT

Round Robin with Playoff: Top finishers of each pool will play in the playoffs

The draw format is round robin, our goal will be to provide 3-4 matches per player in a single morning or afternoon. The match format is a set to four by two with “no ad” scoring (tiebreak at 4-4). Draw and match formats may be altered for cogent reasons. If a draw has 4 or less players then we will switch to a 6-game set format.

SCHEDULE

Each player will find their match times on the draw once it is posted. You'll locate their times by going to the "Draws" clicking the player's division, and then the "+" symbol next to their name. Be sure to look at each match times as they are not necessarily in order from first to last.

Ball Type: Dunlop Grand Prix

This tournament will be using two courts that have pickleball lines on them. Per the USTA rules, this is allowed.

ALTERNATE POLICY

Should a player withdraw from the draw, we will fill the spot with an alternate (without affecting seeding). We will not fill alternates after 5PM on Friday.

Practice Courts

Practice courts will not be available at the tournament facilities. Plan ahead, as most options do not offer reservations, and court availability is limited, especially on weekend mornings.

Will my junior get in?

Girls' Singles 12 & under is full; the rest have room. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.

What is a Level 7?

The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.

Can we enter two divisions?

One event per player at this tournament. Pick the age group that matches your junior's birth year, or the one up if they are ready for it.

When do we know?
