Both days (Sat and Sun) Matches will start at 8 am.
We are excited to see you on Saturday and Sunday. There is ALWAYS construction on 405 freeway and there is always traffic ! Please plan your trip ahead!
Late Penalties: 1-5 mins late loss of toss and game, 6-10 mins late loss of toss and 2 games, 11-15 mins late loss of toss and 3 games. 16th min you lose that match.
Warm up courts: I will open courts at 720 am. You will have open courts before 750 am to warm up. From 8 am onwards we will not have any open courts for warm up. We will be using 13 courts for matches starting at 8 am till 430 pm! Ellis park and Mardy park will have tennis courts for warm up. It's first come first serve!

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 7?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Tue, Mar 24, 2:59pm PDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
Text Coach Ace at (213) 410-2440 with your junior's name and division. Ace keeps the file: deadline, selections, draws, and what to do the night before.
Prior to checking in at the tournament desk, please use the restroom facilities. This will streamline the process and avoid delays. This is a doubles tournament, BOTH players will have to check in at the same time. You can't have your partner either in the bathroom or in the parking lot when you are checking in at the tournament desk!
Check-in is 15 mins before your match. If you are late, USTA penalties will apply. For example, if your match is at 8 am then if you check in between 8:01 am - 8:05 am You will lose toss and 1 game. 8:06 am- 8:10 am you will lose toss and 2 games, 8:11-815 you will lose toss and 3 games. @ 8:16 you will lose that match.

Scoring formats will be as follows:

1030 am start. Check in at 1015 am
Score format:
GROUP OF 4 PLAYERS: One standard tiebreak set to 6, 7-point tiebreak at 6 games all
GROUP OF 5 PLAYERS: One short set to 4, 7-point tiebreak at 3 games all

Playoff: One short set to 4, 7-point tiebreak at 3 games all
1. Check-in will be done, in person, at the tournament desk. State your name to the Tournament Director / Desk manager. It is customary to do this 15 minutes prior to match time.
2. Parents/associates may NOT check in for a player. Players are required to do this themselves.
3. Checking in means ready to play; After checking-in, players should be on stand-by for their match to be called. Warm-ups, bathroom runs, etc. should all be handled prior to checking in.
4. If your match time is near and/or both players are checked in, you are expected to report. A 1:00 match time means you should be on the court no later than 1:00 unless there is a delay. The tournament referee shall penalize players for any tardiness to the match that the player is responsible for.
During Your Match
- 5 Minute Warm-up will be strictly enforced. Manage your warm-up appropriately. NO Warm-up time will be allowed after your first match!
• Continuous play is expected. Adhere to time limits between points, games, etc.
After The Match
Please leave the balls on the court near the net, come to the tournament desk and report your score. Please check the draw for your next match time. It is a USTA rule that players are responsible for reading the draw and knowing their match times. Players should not rely on the tournament director for information that is published.
We will make the draw for Saturday matches on Wednesday, WE will be taking late entries.
WE will make the draw for Sunday matches on Thursday, We will be taking late entries.
You can register for 2 different age groups for Singles and Doubles: For example, YOU can play BU12 singles and BU14 doubles Or you can play GU14 singles and GU12 doubles.
