The Santa Barbara Winter Junior Championships is scheduled for the weekend of December 12 - 13, 2026.

Site Codes and Addresses

The tournament is scheduled to be played at four sites. We will add additional sites if necessary. Please check the draw to confirm the location of matches.

Westmont College (WC) - 955 La Paz Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93105 (also called Abbott Tennis Courts on google maps). Parking lot on site.

Santa Barbara High School tennis courts (SBHS) - 1055 N. Nopal Street, Santa Barbara. Street parking available next to the courts.

Level 6 tournaments are for intermediate to advanced players who have had success at the L7 level or other tennis competitions like high school or junior team tennis.

Match Formats

• The draw formats will either of the following and will depend on the number of entrants in each division: • a single elimination draw with consolation, or

• a round robin , depending on the number of entrants in each division.

• Everyone will be guaranteed 2-4 singles matches.

• Scoring formats will depend on the type of draw used. It will either be: • two 6 game sets and a match tiebreak for the third set

• two short sets with a 7 point tiebreak for the third set

**Draws and match formats may be altered for cogent reasons.

The tournament will be using Pro Penn extra duty tennis balls.

Organizer information

The Santa Barbara Tennis Patrons was founded in 1971 by a group of community-oriented tennis players who wanted to ensure the growth and quality of junior tennis in Santa Barbara. The Patrons is the oldest community tennis association in California.

The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament. Levels 6 and 7 pay per match won, capped at 4 wins: up to 95 ranking points for winning the flight.
