Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 5?
A district-level event. Bigger draws, ranking matters for selection, points per win are higher than Level 6.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Fri, Oct 9, 4:59pm CDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
Text Coach Ace at (213) 410-2440 with your junior's name and division. Ace keeps the file: deadline, selections, draws, and what to do the night before.

FORMAT AND SCORING:
SINGLES 2025 Flighted Draw Instructions:
32 players accepted in each age division.
A 32 Draw will be flighted into 2 separate draws (Flight A, B). Flight A will be players ranked 1-16, Flight B = players ranked 17-32. All flights will have seeded players. Separation will be based on Singles Seeding List.
Draws will be flighted if there are more than 16 players, even if there is an uneven number. Flight A will have the most players in any instance. For example: 17 players enter the tournament- Flight A will have 9 players and Flight B will have 8 players.
Points for various Flights will not be the same. Please see the USTA Point Chart under the Flighted draws tab. USTA Point Chart Link
If draws are published and someone withdraws, the next alternate will go into the withdrawal spot- if a seed withdraws in either flight, seeds may be re-ordered ONLY in the flight the seed withdrew from.
If draws aren’t published and someone withdraws from Flight A, the top player from Flight B can be put in Flight A. An alternate can be put in Flight B and redo the seeds. If withdraw is from Flight B, an alternate goes into the spot. If a seed withdraws from Flight B then add an alternate and redo the seeds.
Singles Scoring is 2 out of 3 sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of the 3rd set.
Singles Draw is a FIC through the Quarterfinals. Depending on byes, the consolation will not likely complete.
