Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 3?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Sun, May 23, 4:59pm CDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
Text Coach Ace at (213) 410-2440 with your junior's name and division. Ace keeps the file: deadline, selections, draws, and what to do the night before.

THE NEW COLLEGE NIGHT - Not your basic college night!
USTA Southern is happy to announce the College Night at the USTA Southern Closed Championships.
We are scheduled to have 25 coaches spanning all divisions on site to meet and recruit players. These 25 have a mandatory schedule, requiring them to be onsite Wednesday - Friday and participate in the College forum on Wednesday June 3 at 5pm. We believe there will be even more college coaches onsite, as they have in prior years, scouting the talent. We will raffle off a $200 Tennis Warehouse Gift card . To earn tickets for a chance to win you must attend the Q&A and booths!
June 3rd from 5-7pm Coaches will be present for the forum and set up a booth to meet players and parents of prospective student athletes. The forum will be a Q&A format where coaches will answer general questions about college tennis, the recruiting process and more. After the forum coaches will have time at their booths to meet players one on one.
Be VISIBLE ! This year we are partnering with Match Tennis App to help coaches recruit and see you play! Follow this link to make a player account so coaches can research you! This Match APP link is only for Recruitment purposes!!
