3rd Annual Southern Regional Team Championship - AL, LA, MS
This tournament is for players from Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi only!
This regional event is a new and unique team event where players from these three states will come together and compete for their state. We are excited to build on the success of this tournament last year and have it again in Mobile, AL!
This is a mixed doubles dominant duo tournament, meaning players will register with a doubles partner (this doubles team must be from the same state!)
When players register, they will register with a mixed doubles partner from their state. Each round, this team will play a boys singles match, and girls singles match, and a mixed doubles match.
Doubles Partners: Players, remember you must have a doubles parter to be able to play in this tournament! Please click this link to go to a walkthrough on how to add a doubles partner from your player profile.

Selection Process *Please read as this is different than other tournaments*
Quota: Each state is guaranteed 4 teams in each division.
National Standing List (Combined): Each state’s 4 representative teams will be chosen based on the National Standing List published on Wednesday November 13. For example, if a state has 6 teams registered, the top 4 ranked teams will be selected and the other 2 will be listed as alternates.
Alternates: After selections have been made, if a duo withdrawals, they will be replaced by the highest-ranked duo based on their combined NSL ranking. The replacement team can come from a different state (AL, LA, or MS) than the players who withdrew if there is not a player from the same state to fill the vacancy.
If a state does not have 4 teams in an age group, then the top team from a different state that is on the alternate list will be added as needed in order to ensure each age group has 12 teams.
Draw Format/Size:
Each state gets 4 duos/division (12 total duos/division and 48 duos total)
4 groups of 3 with round-robin group play on Saturday followed by semi-final and final based on group finish position on Sunday
Duos from each state will be grouped according to their postion from that state. (i.e. - the top teams from each state will play each other in the round robin, the second teams from each state will play each other, and so on)
For the age groups who do not have a full 4 teams from that state, the other teams will be added to that "state" for position purposes in the round robins.
Scoring Format:
Singles matches will be 2 out of 3 sets to 6 games, regular scoring with ad, 7pt tiebreakers at 6-6 in the set and a 10pt tiebreaker for the 3rd set.
Mixed doubles matches will be 1 set to 6 games, regular scoring with ad, 7pt tiebreaker at 6-6 in the set.

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 5?
A district-level event. Bigger draws, ranking matters for selection, points per win are higher than Level 6.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Fri, Nov 6, 4:59pm CST). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
Text Coach Ace at (213) 410-2440 with your junior's name and division. Ace keeps the file: deadline, selections, draws, and what to do the night before.
