TWO-DAY EVENT

• Sanctioned to go over the period of two consecutive days (If doubles is offered, Friday night play after 5pm may be accommodated), BG 12U through 18U Singles/Doubles/Mixed)

SELECTIONS

• Top-down by ranking

• Selections are to use the most recent published National Combined Standing Lists

• Seeding is to be completed by using the most recent published National Singles List. (Seeds are placed in position based on the rules in the Friend at Court. All other players are placed randomly in draws.

• 16 draw limits for singles in all age groups (TD may increase the draw limit once permission is granted by the STATE OFFICE with proof of adequate number of courts available)

• 8 team draw limit for doubles in all age groups

SINGLES SCORE FORMAT

• REGULAR FORMAT: Two tiebreak sets, 10-point match tiebreak at one set all

• INCLEMENT WEATHER FORMAT: Two short sets to 4, 7-point match tiebreak at one set all

SINGLES DRAW TYPE OPTIONS

• Feed-in championship to quarterfinals, and/or Feed-in championship to quarterfinals with playoffs

• Round Robin, and/or

• Compass,

• 8 game pro-set with 7-point tiebreak at 8 games all

IMPORTANT NOTICE – YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR READING THE BELOW INFORMATION!

• SPORTSMANSHIP IS EXPECTED BY ALL! Please refer to THE CODE (The Players’ Guide to Fair Play and the Unwritten Rules of Tennis) pg. 37 AND USTA NATIONALS NEW CAMPAIGN-GET CAUGHT BEING A GOOD SPORT!

• USTA REGULATIONS STATE THE FOLLOWING: A Player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing. After a player has been eliminated from a tournament whose schedule of play partially overlaps with that of a second tournament, the player may enter the second tournament. (USTA REGULATIONS IV.C. (Standards of Conduct),2021 Friend at Court, #s 12 through #17 apply). Penalty: (4) Suspension points to player in violation per offense, enforced by either Tournament Committee, and/or USTA Administration.

• WAIVER! PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS, NO EXCEPTIONS! It is up to each Tournament Director to collect waivers for each player. The TD may elect to use Serve Tennis, Jotform, Match App or have on site printed.

• PAYMENT! If a player has not submitted payment prior to the draw and match schedules being made, the Tournament Director has the right to withdraw the player.

• WITHDRAWALS & REFUND POLICY • Before the deadline, withdraw on USTA.com in the My Schedules tab on your profile with no charge.

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES

• A player must win a round to receive any Ranking Points for the tournament. • Players do not receive any points until they have won a round.

• Byes do not qualify as wins.

• Withdrawals and walkovers qualify as wins for the advancing player and earn Points Per Round, but do not earn Bonus Points.

• Retirements qualify as wins for the advancing player and earn Points Per Round and, if applicable, Bonus Points.

• A player who advances because of a default that takes place before the commencement of the first point in the match or because the opponent is disqualified shall receive Points Per Round for advancing but shall not receive any Bonus Points.

• A player who advances because of a default that takes place after the commencement of the first point in the match shall receive Points Per Round for advancing and, if eligible, Bonus Points.

• Best 6: This term refers to the number of singles tournaments and doubles tournaments that count for standing and ranking (effectively 12 total tournaments). A player may have more than 6 singles and 6 doubles tournaments on their player record, but only the results from the best 6 of each will be used in the PPR Calculation.

• The PPR Calculation: National Standings Lists and Ranking Lists order players based on the following PPR calculation. This list is often called a “Combined List”.

GIVEAWAYS

All players will receive a tournament gift. Awards will be given to all division winners.

FOOD AND DRINK: Light refreshments will be available by the kitchen in the clubhouse for all participants. Players should bring their own water bottle on court for the matches and can refill them at the water dispensors on the back deck of the clubhouse and at the gate of court 6 as needed. Ice is available from the ice machine on the back deck of the clubhouse. Lunch will be served on Saturday for all participants.

PARKING

Please park in the lower parking lot and walk up to the clay courts. Bigger vehicles are asked to park on the outter parking spots, then inner parking spots are shorter and should be for smaller cars or trucks. If all spots are full there is overflow parking on the grass before the pond.

CHECK IN

Please arrive 30 minutes before your first scheduled match time. Check-in at registration desk just inside the clubhouse door. Matches could go on early if everyone is present and a court is available, or could be delayed because a court isn't available at the scheduled match time.

REPORTING SCORES

Upon completion of the match, players will have five minutes to leave the court, drop their match balls into the designated box and submit their final score at the registration desk.
