🌦️ Weather / Match Format Adjustments
This tournament will be played using both indoor and outdoor courts.
If weather impacts the schedule and outdoor courts cannot be used, match formats for either the main draw or back draw may be modified (for example, short sets to 4 games) in order to stay on schedule and ensure all matches are completed.
If temperatures drop below 50°F, matches will be held indoors only.
Winter Months (January & February):
Tournaments during January and February will be scheduled exclusively indoors, unless we have an unusually warm weekend that allows for outdoor play during the day.
🗂️ Draw Structure & Matches
The draw structure for each event will depend on:
The number of players signed up for that specific event, and
The total number of players signed up for the tournament overall.
All players are guaranteed at least two matches in all draw formats, barring any last-minute withdrawals, defaults, or unforeseen circumstances.
Depending on the numbers, events may be run as:
Round-robin
Modified feed-in championship
Feed-in to quarterfinals
Feed-in to round of 16
ℹ️ Important note on feed-in formats:
The biggest difference between these draw structures is what happens after a loss. In a feed-in to the round of 16, players who lose in the quarterfinals are out of the tournament. In a feed-in to the quarterfinals, players who lose in the quarterfinals will still move into the back draw, which results in an additional match. This is the main difference between the two formats.
If you have questions about the draw structure for your event or how many potential matches you may play, please contact the tournament director at antunm@ensworth.com .
🎾 Match Times
Most matches will begin between 8:00–10:00am. However, depending on the size of the draw and how matches progress, some players may start later in the day.
We have had situations in the past where a player’s first match did not begin until the afternoon, so please plan accordingly and be available throughout the day.

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 6?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Tue, Oct 13, 4:59pm CDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
