Hi everyone,
Thank you for signing up for our USTA Level 7 tournament! We’re looking forward to a fun and competitive day of tennis 🎾 Please review the important details below:
📋 Match Format & Scoring
Standard Format: All matches will be one set to 6 games. If the score reaches 6–6, there will be a 7-point tiebreak.
Scoring: NO-AD scoring for all matches.
Small Draw Adjustment (3 Players):
Read the rest
If an event has only 3 players, the format will change to 2 short sets to 4 games.
If the score reaches 3–3, the next game wins the set.
If players split sets, a 7-point tiebreak will decide the match.
Events with 2 players or fewer will not be played, and players will receive a full refund.
🌦️ Weather & Facility
We plan to use both indoor and outdoor courts. If temperatures drop below 50°F, matches will be held indoors only.
In case of rain or weather interruptions, we may adjust the schedule and/or format depending on the size of the tournament to help keep things running smoothly.
Winter Months (January & February):
Tournaments during January and February will be scheduled exclusively indoors, unless we have an unusually warm weekend that allows for outdoor play during the day.
🗂️ Draw Structure & Matches
All players are guaranteed a minimum of 2 matches, barring any last-minute withdrawals or defaults.
The specific draw format (Round Robin or Compass Draw) will be determined once final entries are confirmed.
🎾 Check-In & Score Reporting
In-Person Check-In: All players must check in at the tournament desk upon arrival.
Post-Match: After your match, please leave the balls on the court, report your score at the desk, and receive your next match time.
Match Times: Most matches will begin between 8:00–10:00am. Depending on the draw, some players may start later.
⏱️ Warm-Up & Punctuality
Players will have a 5-minute warm-up.
Late arrivals: A player will forfeit 1 game for every 5 minutes late. Please make sure you are on-site and ready to play at your scheduled time.
🚫 Coaching
No coaching is allowed during matches by parents or coaches. Please allow the players to compete independently and enjoy the experience 👍

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 7?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Wed, Oct 7, 4:59pm CDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
