This tournament will be held at the George Ward Tennis Center located at 331 16th Avenue South. Should we have more participants than George Ward can handle, we will add another tennis center. We will supply drinks, snacks and have awards for the 3 top players in each age bracket except for the G18 where we'll have 2 awards for winner and second place. We will use our ProShop phone number (205-322-8745) to provide you tournament updates. Look forward to you participating in our tournament.

SIGNING UP FOR TWO DIVISIONS
Players may register for two age divisions in Level 3 and 4 tournaments. Players that do register for both divisions will automatically be selected in the older division if they are selected for both. They will be removed from the other age division. Players not selected to either division will remain on both alternate lists for both divisions but will need to play the division they first get into from the alternate lists. They will be removed from the alternate list in the other division. Once a player is selected from any one division - no changes can be made.

In order to participate in this event, the player must meet the USTA Eligibility requirements that are listed here .
Southern Closed Selection Process
Per the USTA Southern guidelines Article II- F, The Southern Closed will have a Quota for selections into the Southern Closed Championship. Here is a breakdown of the quota by state.
The quota list will only be used for Southern Closed Championships. 32 spots will come from the National Combined Standing List. Southern will have the ability to maintain 4 wildcards in each division in case of a medical waiver approved by the Waiver Junior Competition Committee Sub-Committee.
Selections will be based off the National Combined Standing List
Seeding will be based off the:
- Singles- Singles seeding list
- Doubles- Doubles seeding list
Sportsmanship and the USTA Champion’s Pledge
All participants shall familiarize themselves with The Code which is meant to be a guide to fair play. By participating in the tournament, all players agree to abide by the USTA Champion’s Pledge: “I promise to: Compete with the true spirit of Sportsmanship; Have fun; Always give the benefit of the doubt to my opponent; Manage my emotions and be respectful to my opponent, tournament officials and parents; Play to win with grace and lose with dignity; Invest time in knowing the rules; Obey the rules and respect the officials’ decisions; Never quit!”
Spectator Oath
All tournament guests, including family member, coaches and other spectators, must adhere to the USTA Spectator Oath: “I pledge to set a positive example for players, treat fellow parents, coaches and officials with respect, emphasize the importance of fair play and good sportsmanship, cheer respectfully for winner and good points - not errors and double faults, allow players to work out on-court disputes, and not interfer with matches.”
Junior Tournament Medical Waiver
Medical waivers are given on a HIGHLY selective basis. Decisions on waivers will be made by the USTA Southern Junior Tennis Waiver Sub-Committee by a majority vote. Requests will be submitted through the form listed above and must be submitted at least one week prior to the tournament entry deadline. Waiver considerations include, but are not limited to, illness and injury.
