We will start the day with doubles rain or shine. The first two rounds of doubles is scheduled based on the courts being dry. Sinlges will start after the 2 rounds of doubles.

WE have all day Sunday and Monday to catch up if we get behind so be prepared to stay until later on Monday as we want to complete the whole tournament!

FLIGHTED
• 4 Flighted Draws of 16 players based on ranking of entrants.
• IF each event fills with 64 players - there will be 4 - 16 player draws
• Flights will be based on ranking. Flight 1 will be highest 16 players ranking and so on. This is NOT the old waterfall system.

• ACA is a private club that has many amenities with it besides just tennis courts. We have a gym, turf area, yoga room, full locker rooms, and a full service restaurant. We welcome all players, coaches, and parents to take full advantage of our facility while playing the tournament.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 4?
USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Thu, Mar 4, 4:59pm CST). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.

• HTC is a beautiful public facility that is allowing us to use 25 of their courts for the weekend. So, please be courteous of both facilities as there will be members and other tennis players around all weekend.
SCHEDULE

FRIDAY PRACTICE
• Practice courts for Friday afternoon/evening at ACA : Please call 256-881-0931 to reserve a clay court in one hour increments.
• Practice courts for Friday afternoon at HTC will have open clay courts until 5:30pm- Please check in at the front desk before going to a court. Hard courts will be available until they close at 8pm.
• Hard courts will be available at ACA & HTC all weekend first come first serve.
SATURDAY PRACTICE
• ACA and HTC clay courts will be ready by 7am for warm-up
• HTC will have a couple courts available during the day as well but please check with the tournament desk before going to a court
CLAY COURTS
• We pride ourselves in making the clay courts as best as possible for each match. We will be re-sweeping all the courts after doubles, before the first round of singles. We will then be making every attempt to re-sweep after each singles match throughout the day on Saturday so please be courteous and patient with our volunteers and maintenance crew.
TOURNAMENT DESK
• Both tournament desks at ACA and HTC will be upstairs at both facilities

Practice Courts for Friday
• ACA - Call 256-881-0931 to reserve a clay court. One hour increments and 4 players could be assigned to a court.
• Hard courts at ACA are available all weekend first come first serve.
• HTC - First come first serve up until 5:30pm. Players MUST check in at the front desk. Do not just walk to a court.
• Hard courts at HTC are also first come first serve all weekend.
Hotels:
HOTELS:
There are multiple hotels within 3 miles of our facility, and most are under a 10 minute drive.
The Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, and Doubletree are all in south Huntsville and located right next to each other and under a 5 min drive to both facilities.
The downtown area of Huntsville has the Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, AC Hotel, and two brand new hotels. Then Hampton Inn and Suites and The Jefferson Hotel are brand new. Downtown also has quite a few dining options and is easy to walk/drive around.
The area of Bridgestreet Town Center is just under 15 min away and has quite of few options as well. The Westin, Hyatt Place, Hampton Inn & Suites, and Home2 Suites all surround the dining and shopping area of Bridgestreet.
They are 1/2 mile apart so it is very easy to be able to go between the 2 sites.
PLAYER SELECTION & SEEDING
This tournament will use the National Combined Standing List for player
selection. The Singles Seeding List will be used for splitting and seeding draws.
Players will be flighted/seeded by ranking 1-16 into the first flight, and
flighted/seeded 17-32 by ranking into the second flight, etc. If it's not a full
draw, we will split the draws evenly. Also, we will not split draws with less than
16 players. There will simply be one draw for those divisions. For example:
There are 17 players in a division. Draw A will have 9 players and Draw B will
have 8 players.
POINTS PER ROUND
This tournament carries with it USTA Level 5 points per round. Please click
here for the point tables and refer to the Flighted Draw table on page 7 for this
tournament.
Note: This is not like the old USTA Southern Waterfall draws.
MATCH SCORING/DRAW SIZE
Four 16-Player Draws. Players will be flighted into each draw by their
ranking from the Combined National Standings List. All matches are best of
three tie break sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd set.
WITHDRAWALS
If there is a withdrawal after the draw has been published, the spot will be
replaced by the next alternate - no matter which draw/bracket it is - if there is
an alternate list.
DEFAULT NO-SHOW POLICY: Players are expected to play all matches including main draw and consolation. It is mandatory to notify the tournament director in written communication (via email) that a player needs to withdraw. Failure to notify the Tournament Director via email will receive a “Default No-Show” and 5 suspension points per the USTA Suspension Point System (USTA Regulations IV.F.)
STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
Players, persons who appear to be associated with a player (including, but not limited to, parents and coaches), officials, and organizers of any tournament are under a duty to encourage and maintain high standards of proper conduct, fair play, and good sportsmanship. They are under an obligation to avoid acts that may be considered detrimental to the game of tennis. Detrimental acts include, but are not limited to, the acts set forth in USTA Regulation IV.C (Standards of Conduct). Friend at Court

Play in all matches is governed by Friend at Court , the USTA Code; USTA Southern Rules; USTA Southern Tournament Regulations, with the current USTA Point Penalty System in effect for all matches.

USTA Southern 2027 Doubles Format Change:
Starting in January 2027, USTA Southern L3 - L5 Tournaments will play no-ad scoring in Doubles.
SIGNING UP FOR TWO DIVISIONS:
Players may register for two age divisions in Level 3 Closed, Level 4 Open/Closed tournaments. Players that do register for both divisions will automatically be selected in the older division if they are selected for both. Players not selected to either division will remain on both alternate lists for both divisions but will need to play the division they first get into from the alternate lists. They will be removed from the Alternate list in the other division. Once a player is selected for any one division, NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE.
YOU MUST PLAY THE SAME AGE DIVISION FOR SINGLES AND DOUBLES:
Per STA rules for all National Level 3-5's, you must play the same doubles division as your chosen singles division.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PLAYERS RE: CONCURRENT TOURNAMENTS
USTA Regulations state the following:
• Player shall not enter two tournaments at same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing. After a player has been eliminated from a tournament whose schedule of play partially overlaps with that of a second tournament, the player may enter the second tournament.
(USTA REGULATIONS IV.C. (Standards of Conduct), 2025 Friend at Court, #s 12 through #17 apply).
Penalty: (4) Suspension points to player in violation per offense, enforced by either Tournament Committee, and/or USTA Administration.
SPORTSMANSHIP & THE USTA PLAYER OATH:
All participants shall familiarize themselves with The Code which is meant to be a guide to fair play. By participating in the tournament, all players agree to abide by the USTA Player Oath: "I recognize that tennis is a sport that places the responsibility for fair play on me. I promise to abide by the rules of the game, which require me to give the benefit of the doubt to my opponent. At all times I shall strive to compete with the true spirit of sportsmanship, recognizing that my behavior on the court is a direct reflection of my character. Whether my matches end with my victory or defeat, I promise to conduct myself in a way that honors my opponents, those who support me, and the game of tennis."
SAFE PLAY INFORMATION FOR PLAYERS & COACHES:
Please be advised that if you plan to bring your coach with you, he/she SHOULD be Safe Play Approved through the end of the Tournament. This includes completing SafeSport training, acknowledging the USTA Safe Play Policy which includes reporting requirements, and a criminal background check. You can check if your coach is Safe Play Approved by visiting: https://www.usta.com/en/home/safe-play/search-for-a-tennis-provider.html. If they are not Safe Play Approved, please ensure they complete the process ASAP by visiting www.usta.com/safeplay and selecting “Get Approved.” PLEASE NOTE: SAFESPORT TRAINING IS 90 MINUTES LONG AND FULL APPROVAL CAN TAKE UP TO 5 DAYS.
