The George Ward Tennis Center will have a 10 and under Grand Prix Junior Circuit Tournament on 9/12/26. We have 8 hard courts and our address is 331 16th Avenue South, Birmingham, Alabama 35205. We are looking forward to hosting this tournament and having fun with the kids! Water and snacks will be provided and we will have one or more officials on hand to help with match play. We will have awards for the winner and finalist in each bracket. Also since this is a Junior Circuit tournament, the kids can acquire points for playing in this tournament.

USTA Alabama offers financial assistance to eligible junior players (ages 12–18) competing in Alabama and Southern team events. Applicants must be Alabama residents and meet income eligibility requirements. Funding of up to $750 is available to help cover travel-related expenses such as fuel, lodging, meals, and tournament entry fees. Awards are considered on a case-by-case basis and require proper documentation of expenses.

The entry fee will be $40 and we are asking everyone to check-in at the tournament desk at least 30 minutes before their playing time.

We have done tournaments before and look forward to doing this one. Our tournament director will be Cain Mashego and our head referee will be Rudy Lewis.

Will my junior get in?

No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.

What is a Junior Circuit?

USTA junior tournaments run from Level 7 (local, open to anyone) up to Level 1 (national). Lower number, stronger field, more points.

Can we enter two divisions?

One event per player at this tournament. Pick the age group that matches your junior's birth year, or the one up if they are ready for it.
