SEEDING

Seeding will be completed using the most recently published National Standings List , in accordance with Friend at Court guidelines.

Seeded players will be placed per USTA regulations

All non-seeded players will be placed randomly in the draw

DRAW SIZE

Singles: 16-player draw limit in all age groups

The Tournament Director may increase draw sizes with approval from the State Office and proof of adequate court availability

DRAW TYPE

Compass Draw

Based on overall sign-ups, time constraints, or weather conditions, the Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the draw type if necessary.

SINGLES SCORING FORMAT

One standard tiebreak set to 6

7-point tiebreak at 6 games all

Inclement Weather Format (with NCTA approval):

One short set to 4

7-point tiebreak at 4 games all

No-Ad scoring may be used at the discretion of the Referee if deemed necessary.

SPORTSMANSHIP

Good sportsmanship is expected from all players and spectators.

Please refer to THE CODE (The Players’ Guide to Fair Play and the Unwritten Rules of Tennis) and the USTA’s Get Caught Being a Good Sport initiative.

USTA REGULATIONS – IMPORTANT

USTA regulations state that a player may not enter two tournaments at the same time .

Once entries close, a player may not be entered in overlapping sanctioned events unless both Tournament Committees agree in writing .

Violation results in four suspension points per offense , enforced by the Tournament Committee and/or USTA Administration.

WAIVER REQUIREMENT

Parents or guardians must complete all required waivers prior to play.

The Tournament Director may collect waivers electronically or on site.

No waiver = no play. No exceptions.

PAYMENT POLICY

Players who have not submitted payment prior to draw and schedule creation may be withdrawn at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

Withdrawals before the registration deadline must be completed on USTA.com via the My Schedules tab
