REGISTRATION DEADLINE
• Monday @ 5:59pm, prior to tournament start date
• Late entries may be accepted IF they do not affect seeding and are ultimately at the discretion of the tournament director, a Late Fee may be applied.

• Top-down by ranking
• Selections are to use the most recent published National Combined Standing Lists
• Seeding is to be completed by using the most recent published National Singles List. (Seeds are placed in position based on the rules in the Friend at Court. All other players are placed randomly in draws.
• 16 draw limits for singles in all age groups (TD may increase the draw limit once permission is granted by the STATE OFFICE with proof of adequate number of courts available)
• 8 team draw limit for doubles in all age groups

• REGULAR FORMAT: Two tiebreak sets, 10-point match tiebreak at one set all

• USTA REGULATIONS STATE THE FOLLOWING: A Player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing. After a player has been eliminated from a tournament whose schedule of play partially overlaps with that of a second tournament, the player may enter the second tournament. (USTA REGULATIONS IV.C. (Standards of Conduct),2021 Friend at Court, #s 12 through #17 apply). Penalty: (4) Suspension points to player in violation per offense, enforced by either Tournament Committee, and/or USTA Administration.
• WAIVER! PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS, NO EXCEPTIONS! It is up to each Tournament Director to collect waivers for each player. The TD may elect to use Serve Tennis, Jotform, Match App or have on site printed.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 6?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Mon, Sep 14, 5:59pm EDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.

• A player must win a round to receive any Ranking Points for the tournament. • Players do not receive any points until they have won a round.
• Byes do not qualify as wins.
• Withdrawals and walkovers qualify as wins for the advancing player and earn Points Per Round, but do not earn Bonus Points.
• Retirements qualify as wins for the advancing player and earn Points Per Round and, if applicable, Bonus Points.
• A player who advances because of a default that takes place before the commencement of the first point in the match or because the opponent is disqualified shall receive Points Per Round for advancing but shall not receive any Bonus Points.
• A player who advances because of a default that takes place after the commencement of the first point in the match shall receive Points Per Round for advancing and, if eligible, Bonus Points.
• Best 6: This term refers to the number of singles tournaments and doubles tournaments that count for standing and ranking (effectively 12 total tournaments). A player may have more than 6 singles and 6 doubles tournaments on their player record, but only the results from the best 6 of each will be used in the PPR Calculation.
• The PPR Calculation: National Standings Lists and Ranking Lists order players based on the following PPR calculation. This list is often called a “Combined List”.

Alternate Site for First Round of Girls' 14's
The first round of the girls' 14's singles event will be played at 11:30 at Greene Ridge Racquet Club. Players may report directly to the site and check in with Peyton Rolison. These matches will be played on clay. All other matches in the girls' 14's will be played on hard courts at Greene Central High School.
Boys' 18's Finals
If the two seeds win in the semifinals, the boys' 18's finals will be played at 3:00 on Saturday. If either of the two seeds loses (or both), the boys' 18's finals will be played at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Our Referee
Our referee will be available throughout the weekend to answer questions and to enforce the rules, but we DO NOT supply line judges for matches. Matches going to tie-breakers will be expected to play according to “The Code” as all other games played. Parents/Coaches are expected to conduct themselves also in accordance to “The Code” to ensure fair play. Players are expected to make their own calls in accordance with the procedures outlined in "The Code" in Friend at Court.
Match Times
All match times after the first round in each event each day are tentative. Players should be prepared to play again one hour after each match is completed throughout the day.

The Greene Central High School Tennis Complex is located right beside of the Snow Hill branch of Lenoir Community College. The address is 818 Highway 91 North, Snow Hill, N.C. 28580.
Match Tennis Balls
A new can of tennis balls will be at the net strap on all courts. Players do not pick up balls at the tournament desk. When the match is completed, players should put the three balls back in the can, and leave the can at the net strap. DO NOT bring tennis balls to the tournament desk.
Match Format
Two tiebreak sets, 10-point match tiebreak at one set all with ad scoring in all divisions.
Sale of Used Tournament Balls
We sell cans of used tournament balls for $1.25 a can on a first-come, first served basis at the tournament desk throughout the tournament. We can only accept cash or check for the tennis balls.
Email Required for All Withdrawals
An email to DClark2212@gmail.com is required for all withdrawals after the online deadline. Withdrawals should be sent to the tournament director in time for him to notify the opponent before they leave their home to drive to the tournament.
Warm-Up
Players will be allowed to warm up until 8:15 on Saturday morning. All courts will be cleared for the beginning of play at 8:15 a.m. We have a backboard for players to hit on throughout the day.
LATE ENTRIES
The North Carolina Tennis Association now allows tournaments to accept late entries at the discretion of the director if those entries would be not be seeds in a draw. Late entries are completely at the discretion of the director. We WILL NOT accept any entries that would be seeds in a draw. There will be an $8.00 late fee for all late entries that are accepted!
