The Level 7 - 8 am AZ East Valley DOUBLES Championships is focused on providing tournaments for junior players of all skill levels. Please note, that this specific tournament is a LEVEL 7. To maximize improvement a non-abbreviated scoring format is used.
Players will be flighted according to skill level, and age.
DRAW SIZE -
Draws will be flighted to create level-based play using World Tennis Number WTN . Flight size is 3-5.
NOTE – WTN is the exclusive official rating of the ITA and college tennis. Read for more information .
LOCATION – Mountain View High School Tennis Courts - 2700 E Brown Rd, Mesa, AZ 85213
START TIME - Saturday @ 8am. Warmups begin at 7:30am.
Players will be allowed to rest for no more than 10 minutes between rounds.
SCORING FORMAT – First to 4, no ad.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT -
Round Robin. Each player usually plays 2-3 matches (possibly more) if there are no withdraws.
MATCH TIMES -
Players are responsible for checking the tournament website for their draw, match time and schedule. The tournament will not email players their match times. Draws can be found on the tournament website under the “draws” tab. Find your gender/age division (event)
SELECTION AND DRAW POSTINGS -
Players will be selected after the entry deadline has passed. Players will receive an email confirming that they have been selected. Draws will be posted no later than Friday at 6pm the week of the event.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 7?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
