“Southwest Section Dress Code”
Proper tennis attire shall be worn at all times. Clothing shall not include reference to gambling, tobacco products, alcohol, profanity, or violence. Rules of the host facility will govern any additional dress code requirements. Effective May 1, 2025
“Overrule Policy”
ONCE A PLAYER HAS BEEN OVERRULED A SECOND TIME, THEY WILL BE CAUTIONED THAT AFTER ANOTHER OVERRULE THEY WILL BE PENALIZED FOR UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT UNDER THE POINT PENALTY SYSTEM.

"Withdrawal Policy"
If a player withdraws or defaults (for reason other than illness or injury) from any sanctioned tournament in the Southwest Section (L3-L7), after entries close, that player will be assessed 4 suspension points unless medical documentation of the injury or illness is provided to the Tournament Director AND Southwest Section Junior Player Development Manager within 48 hours after the completion of the tournament.

In theory, the Junior Competition Committee feels that it is important to adopt and strongly enforce National’s ruling on the Suspension Point System. In recent years, several players have been pulling out of tournaments, especially L3-5 events, on the final day of competition or once a player is in the back draw.
"Electronic Wearables"
The use of smartwatches or any electronic device that can receive electronic communication must be in off mode and in a bag unless on a break between the 2nd and 3rd set.
"Refund Policy"
There will not be refunds issued once entries close for withdrawal from the tournament
"Concurrent Entry Policy"
You may NOT enter another tournament if you are in an event where the sanction period overlaps with another that you are registered for. EVEN if you ASSUME you will not make it to the 2nd weekend of the other tournament (if this applies): "When sanction periods overlap, that's a concurrent entry." AND You may NOT be in the main draw of multiple tournaments. If you are, you will be withdrawn AND assessed suspension points.
Draw Format: Mixed Doubles. Compass draw or round robin depending on entries. Events may have to be combined depending on entries.
Doubles: please make sure to register with your partner through the registration process or notify me no later than the registration deadline with confirmed partner info. If you register for doubles and do not have a partner, I will do my best to pair you up.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 6?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Sun, Oct 18, 2:59pm MST). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
