Welcome players and families!
On behalf of our tournament team, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the inaugural Sedona Junior Open Level 6 . We are excited to host competitors from across the Southwest and beyond and hope you enjoy a weekend of great tennis in one of Arizona's most beautiful settings. Trophies will be awarded to first and second place players. The weather should be incredible that time of year and should expect temps mid 70's during the day!
Our goal is to provide a well-organized, fair, and enjoyable experience for every player. We encourage everyone to compete with integrity, demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship, and make the most of the opportunity to challenge yourselves, learn, and have fun surrounded by the red rocks of Sedona!

Draw Format: Singles best of 3 regular tie break sets to 6 with a 10 point tie break played in lieu of a full third.
Seeding: Players will be seeded straight by WTN using high confidence ratings only.

“Southwest Section Dress Code”
Proper tennis attire shall be worn at all times. Clothing shall not include reference to gambling, tobacco products, alcohol, profanity, or violence. Rules of the host facility will govern any additional dress code requirements.
“Overrule Policy”
ONCE A PLAYER HAS BEEN OVERRULED A SECOND TIME, THEY WILL BE CAUTIONED THAT AFTER ANOTHER OVERRULE THEY WILL BE PENALIZED FOR UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT UNDER THE POINT PENALTY SYSTEM.
"Withdrawal Policy"
If a player withdraws or defaults (for reason other than illness or injury) from any sanctioned tournament in the Southwest Section (L3-L7), after entries close, that player will be assessed 4 suspension points unless medical documentation of the injury or illness is provided to the Tournament Director AND Southwest Section Junior Player Development Manager within 48 hours after the completion of the tournament.

Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 6?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Mon, Oct 12, 2:59pm MST). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
