Round Robin Draws and Match format:

For each age and gender combination, players will be grouped into Round Robin draws which allow each player to have upto 4 matches during the two days. Although we will try to schedule 2 matches on Saturday and 2 on Sunday , draw size and court availability may require 3 matches on one day and 1 on the other.

Match format will be best 2 of 3 tiebreaker sets (no-ad) with 3rd set 10 point tiebreak unless we get inclement weather which may cause modifications.

Where to stay, what to do, and where to eat?

There are no hotels close by the Bob Day Tennis Complex but there are hotels to the north on President George Bush Tollroad at North Garland Ave ( Holiday Inn, Hyatt Place, and Tru by Hilton) and to the south on LBJ- 635 near Centerville (La Quinta and Motel 6). There are sit-down restaurants around these two highways. The closest fast food restaurant to the BDTC or either east on SH-66 in Rowlett or west on SH-66 in Garland. In the north at Highway 78 and the Bush Tollway is the Firewheel Town Center (out-door mall) which includes a multi-screen movie theater, restaurants and shopping.

Will my junior get in?

No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.

What is a Level 6?

The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.

When do we know?

Selections post after entries close (Sun, Oct 25, 4:59pm CDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
