General Information Players with 8:00am match times may arrive and check in as early as 7:00am. You will be assigned a court. This will be your warmup court and your match court. Your opponent will be sent to your same match court. Please share that court for warm up. Do not ‘jump on’ any court. If you do not wish to share a court for warm up, please use the warmup site prior to checking in for your match.
Check in Provide your first and last name and age division (Example: Kenna Kilgo G16 Checking in). You will be directed to a court. Remember to check in and follow the desk’s instructions BEFORE your scheduled match time. Failure to go to your court as directed by the desk will result in lateness penalties. You must check in prior to each match. You may come to the desk with questions or to get an official.
Report scores immediately after the match. Make sure both players agree on the score. Bring the balls back to the tournament desk. Your next match time will either be given at the tournament desk or show online.
Bring your own ice, water bottles, towels, snacks, etc. Bringing your own chair is a good idea for spectators. Emergency ice for injuries only will be located at the tournament desk.
Good Sportsmanship is expected from all players and spectators . Support both players. Clapping for good points after the point is over is good sportsmanship. Clapping for a mistake or a double fault is not. Tennis is different from many youth sports in that coaching during play is not allowed. The exception is during the 3 minute break if you split sets. Any comment that instructs a player on what to do is coaching.

Questions parents ask
Will my junior get in?
No draw is full yet. Selection is by ranking list, so a junior with no ranking can still get in when a draw is not full, and goes on the alternate list when it is.
What is a Level 6?
The entry point of USTA junior tennis. One or two days, local, no ranking needed to enter, and every win earns ranking points. The right first tournament.
When do we know?
Selections post after entries close (Sun, Sep 13, 4:59pm CDT). Draws usually post the week of the tournament. Text Coach Ace and we will tell you the moment either one lands.
