What is a USTA Level 5 tournament?
Regular weekend tournaments in their section. Up to 3 days, usually open to players from any section. Points by the round. Lose the first match and the main draw pays nothing.
How many points is a Level 5 worth?
Main-draw points go by the round reached: the champion earns 300, the finalist 225, a semifinalist 150 and a quarterfinalist 105. The round a player starts in earns nothing, so losing the first match earns nothing from the main draw. Each consolation round won adds 11.
How should we get ready for a Level 5?
Start 14 days out. Coach Ace's free Level 5 guide covers what the day looks like, what to pack, the mental game, and food and water, with a 14-day plan, stage by stage.
