Counted within the last hour. Selection runs off the ranking list when entries close, and it runs differently at different levels, so whether a junior gets in depends on where they sit in this field. Add their USTA ID and we will tell you.

Will my junior get in?

The ID is on your junior's USTA account. We look up their published standing, read it against this tournament's entry count and its selection rule, and tell you where that leaves them. We never ask for a name and USTA never sends us one.

What it is worth

Levels 6 and 7 pay per match won, capped at 4 wins: up to 56 ranking points for winning the flight.

Wins the flight (4 wins)56
Loses the final (4 wins)54
Two wins24
One win12
One consolation win6

Standings points, before bonus points for beating a ranked opponent. What a result is actually worth to your junior depends on the six results they are already counting.

IMPORTANT SPORTSMANSHIP REMINDERS

All players, parents, and spectators MUST sign the Mid-Atlantic ACES Pledge and players will be REQUIRED to show their Mid-Atlantic ACES Pledge digital medallions or bag tag at check in.

All participants MUST adhere to the USTA Mid-Atlantic Sportsmanship Expectations; including The Do’s and Don’ts of Good Sportsmanship and are encouraged to nominate fellow participants as Champions on and off the court!

Players are expected to play all scheduled matches.

Draw and Match Format:

Draw limits - All draws will be limited to 8 players each (Draws may be expanded if court time allows).

Draws will be non-elimination format - either compass draws or round robin depending on the number of players in each division.

Matches will be played on either clay or hard courts. Respective divisions will play on the same surface throughout the tournament.

Score format : One SuperSet to 6 games with a 7 point tiebreaker at 6-6. No ad scoring will be used.

Draws and times will be posted no later than Wednesday afternoon.

The tournament may start as early as 8a through early afternoon, but not divisions will start at the same time.

Player Selection

Selection is based "Bottom Up” by National Standing List ranking with unranked players selected first.

Players will be scheduled for at least 2 matches and no more than 4 matches.

Flighting and Seeding will be by Ranking

If divisions are split into multiple groups (e.g. 32 players into two groups of 16 each), the groups will be flighted based on each players’ current position on the Combined National Standing List (ranking). FLIGHTING is a method of distributing players entered into an event into separate draws so that players of the same level are in the same draw and compete against each other. Seeding for Compass Draws will use each player’s current position on the Combined National Standing list, while Round Robin Draws will not be seeded.
