This 10 and Under tournament is a great place for a player to begin experiencing tournament play. Players will have an opportunity to try tennis competition in this tournament, many of them for the first time. Players are to sign-up by ball color and this must correspond with the player's ball color level in the USTA system. If you have questions on this, please email Beverly at bshields@dothan.org.

On-Site Check-In: Players (particularly local) are requested to check in on site Friday, March 12 between 2 pm - 7 pm. If the majority of the 100 players (L6 + 10's) check in on Friday, it'll make Saturday morning much less chaotic. For those not able to check in at this time, please email your late arrival to Tina at tmccord@dothan.org. Courts will be available at no charge for practice. Match & Scoring Formats: The goal is to complete this tournament on Saturday. We have Sunday listed in the event we experience inclement weather on Saturday. Best two-of-three 4-game sets. Should players split sets, a 7-point tiebreaker is played in lieu of a third set. If the score is 3-3 in a set, a deciding game is played. Immediately after a match is complete, BOTH players should report to the tournament desk to report the score, drop-off used balls and get updates on their next scheduled match. If there is inclement weather or a large number of entrants, the scoring format is subject to change.

Officiating: USTA Certified Officials will assist players, if needed.
In 2000, Westgate Tennis Center became the most decorated Tennis Center in America when it won multiple national awards. Annually from 2001 to 2019, it was the home of a prestigious women's professional circuit event. Currently, Westgate Tennis Center begins its fifth year as the host site for the USTA Boys' 14 National Clay Court Championships. This modern facility features 20 lighted Har-Tru courts, all with player seating and shade shelters. Spectators can enjoy viewing from atop the 3500-square foot clubhouse or a centrally located, elevated berm.
